My roo is so small his crow really isn't loud at all. If you're inside you can't hear it but if you have your windows open you can. His coop only 10 feet if that from a my neighbors new baby's room. They insist that it's fine and I've offered to move him but they say it's never bothered her but I still put a collar on him at night and take it off in the morning. He used to fight me but now he doesn't care. I don't think it bothers him at all. I leave it on him on Saturday and Sunday because it's the weekend and I feel like it's polite. It doesn't affect him eating or drinking or even his other normal chicken noises. He'll still make cackling noises just fine but just no big crowing. Thanks! I am excited about getting him. I should get a call from the post office in a couple hrsHaha Nice! I cant wait to hear what it sounds like lol. She said it reduces the crow alot and he's been wearing it for months so he's already used to it![]()

Well… you folks don't know Jack!
So I would like to introduce him to the Utah thread. His name is, as some might of guessed, Jack. He is in charge of a few little hens, and is proud to do so. He takes his role very seriously and always seems to be on alert and or at attention. He has a crow to match his stature… and is just a lot of fun to have around the place. His female attendants, Katy, Cinnamon, and a pair of Pumpkins, round out his entourage. He has Gingham style, so to speak, as my grandson tells me.
Below is a closeup of Cinnamon, she is sooo… soft, pretty tame and just a sweet thing for sure. Jack is that fine roo in the background.
Anyway I thought I would share some recent photographs of some of the flock, we are loving this early spring for sure.
Best to all and your birds,
RJ
Just wanted to share with everyone my new stud muffin! I bought him all the way by Chicago suburbs near WI. It wasent cheap but it'll be worth it. Isent he a hunk? He'll be siring all my paint chicksHe's wearing one of those crowing collars. She gave it to me with him, and said it does help a lot with noise.![]()
