haha yes I did he is so pretty. I need to find rooster collars for a large fowl and one big enough for a silkie rooster. I hope your hatching goes better then planned just keep me posted on how your hatches go.
I think he is going to be tall as well. He's 15 weeks old and towers over my other chick's that are older then he is lol. I can't wait to see what he fills out like.
I agree, he is very nice and should be a good size. His sibling that I have been suspecting is a roo also, is twice the size of it's little sisters who are the same age. I think it's a good hint of the gender. Also may begin getting those streamers in their crest. I think my little one might be getting them. I will let you know how each batch goes I have some due in about a week in a half, and then I just put more in the bator yesterday. And im still collecting as long as the hens are laying lol. Next year things will go alot more as planned because I will have a bigger flock established and will get more eggs that i'll incubate on a schedule so I am constantly getting chicks I just ordered more rooster collars myself. You should try this other brand. It's much cheaper. They are 5 dollars a collar plus $3 shipping. They are in Australia but they ship to the states all the time and you cant beat the price. Haha you are thinking Birdguy in Idaho Falls. I have some eggs ordered but we are having difficulty getting up that way haha! There IS one lady in Logan that also sells SBEL chicks...calls them Amerileg. I asked her for some and she said in three-four weeks she will have some I can hook you up if you are still looking!

#2. Red, if your DH wants to be that sweet you are one lucky gal and it would make him feel good and you would hate to deprive him of that joy, yes? Just trying to enable you a little further. There are lots of people that would buy chicks I am sure!

Oh, well at least the mistake makes sense considering their names matching up so closely. Ha ha ha Golly, that is embarrassing, though. I'd love to get a hold of some reliable blue egg layers, as woukd my mom. So just point me in the right direction. We can still wait if need be. We have time. Thanks for setting me straight!
