Utah!

I was worried about my first time broodie silkie and the snow, but I shouldn't have been. She hatched 3 chicks, 2 Easter eggers and a houdan. (The last egg didn't hatch)

so cute! I was worried as well with my broody and her chicks in the snow but never underestimate a mother chickens ability to keep those babies warm haha.

I. I will be home in about an hour. Give me a call. 8015977854 I just dropped Brian's off in Spanish fork on our way back to town. My rv is loaded with chickens
it was so good to see you and Ed :) thanks a bunch for these cuties. They are really sweet. I can't wait to see how pretty they get :) great to have you back in town!

Very pretty! Great feet! Do you still have Olive?
Yes I still have her. I will keep Olive and this black one, and the rest of the hens will be paints. I might end up selling Olives sister Luna though once this black one is breeding. I like Olive more then even her now lol. She's currently in the broody breaker cage because I want her to continue laying lol. Whats a cute name for this black one?

Welcome home Sundance, I've been following your exploits and such. All sounds like good fun to me. It is nice of you to bring back birds with new blood for the kind Utah BYC folks round here, and perhaps others as well. I like how folks here love their birds and seem to take good care of same.

Best to you and your birds,

RJ

Got my juvies in their new outside run. I have two little roos if anyone wants them...

This one is 1/2 Blue Copper Marans and 1/4 FBCM and 1/4 Blue Ameraucana. Mom laid a chocolate egg.

This one is 1/2 Blue Copper Marans and 1/2 Golden Cuckoo marans...Looks just like a Pure Golden Cuckoo marans, The chicks are sexlinked so the boys are barred) should carry the uber dark brown egg gene.

Last of all, I have indeed spotted a Houdans Roo amongst the girls...Problem is, he is exactly like my last devil Houdan Roo that terrorized my kids and family....
He is only 6 weeks old and being a total brat.
I guess this makes the final decision about working with these, everybody on the Houdans thread has said the Roos are mean as H. The victim is the rooster in Pic #1.
What a jerk!
