We found our banty cross chick a new home! He now lives in Hurricane and is going to have a flock of girls all to himself! Yay!

I can get more polish cross chicks from my friend in Pahrump, all I need to do is get enough orders together and have everybody ordering chicks to donate enough extra $ to cover my gas costs....which is about $50 round trip.

  I had a very good friend that lived in Pahrump.  I hear its a nice place.  We lost him in April in a sand machine accident.  it was a surprise to see the name of the town here, no one knows where that is ;-)  I hope you like your new place ;-)  Im in SL and am new to chickens I have had ducks for just over a year.  This whole thing is new to me. 

I am in Layton and ihave 3 little hens.An Ameraucana,a Delaware and a Buff Cochin bantam. Also 3 dogs.

Welcome to all the newbies. I'm leaving for Alaska on Friday for a couple of weeks. I had about 20 Serama eggs that I was going to put in my incubator. Decided to let all my broodies do the work. I put 10 under my jubilee orphington 2 under three seramas and 4 under my Duccle girl They will take great care and that way my daughter can hatch the eggs I have in it for me. I'm looking forward seeing what they hatch when I get back I love the pictures everyone has posted

Has anyone ever bred a welsummer rooster to a white leghorn hen? If so, what were your results? Production level? Egg color?

she has not been on the nest today so maybe she is not committed yet. but knowing her sooner or later she will be full on committed lol. she is a funny girl. cynthia this is the girl i got from you years ago. oh and the buff orp i got from you at the same time is very protective of the nest boxes, she will go after you if you are getting into them lol
