Utah!

I took a couple pics so you guys can see my lav am teenagers. I think they are going to be absolutely STUNNING adults. I'm not an expert, but they sure look pretty to me.

Oh wow, that's what I call a couple of pure Ameraucanas! Love the color..where did you get those? I'm thinking I better get me some of those eggs! lol...I probably could get more, but I am happy with what I am pretty sure is a girl. They really are pretty.

Right, Lisa! Wheaten or Blue wheaten girl, I won't be too picky!

BTW, USPS tracking says my eggs should be here "by April 13". I've never seen a tracker say by a certain date like that, it's usually "by the end of [certain date]". So could that possibly mean they will be here BEFORE the 13th? That would be tomorrow, er, TODAY! I'm a wishful thinker. (It's 2am and I just got done putting the first coat of paint on the 2nd living room. Maybe I'm a not just a wishful thinker, but a tad delirious? lol)

You are painting? You like to paint? My house could sooo use a new coat of paint in the living room. Not that it is a real old coat..it's just that I would love some color. Not that I am a colorful sort or anything like that! Heavens no, not me. You could paint my bathroom a nice creamy rootbeer float color. Light enough for a bath, and our bath upstairs isn't small, so that would work. Let's see, My kitchen..need to change the color theme in there, I've had it since we moved in 5 years ago..and let's see..oh I could go on. I can't paint. My arms won't let me. :( My DH is going to have to get the paint bug planted into his mind.

And, I have kids that would love to come and paint. :) Have fun! Pictures of your paint job when you are done would be fun!

Ours still look exactly like each other's. With my small one being lighter and my big one being darker, their posture matches yours exactly. What the heck with the bigger one huh! Still not positive its a boy.....I wish the comb would go red if it is so I would know and get it over with lol. And why was the one on ksl so different? A mystery. They are indeed gorgeous, I have had lots of compliments. And mellow tempered. Neither of mine is concerned about humans...they truly seem to enjoy being held and do not like being put back down.
It is hard to see in the pic---but does the larger have pointy saddle feathers coming in or are they still rounded. Almost look a little pointy in the picture.

It hatched!!!!!!!! From the looks of it, I bet it only hatched about 30 min ago. It looks perfectly healthy and is another beautiful lav am
I noticed one of my other lavs looks like it may have a couple feathers on its leg.

Sphinx, sooo glad your last baby is okay! That makes me happy.

Lisa, sorry to hear about the one drowning, but here's hoping that the other one makes it out okay. It kind of reminds me of the one Sphinx had that needed help getting out of the shell. It was one of the BLRW, I think?

My two teenagers seemed to be just fine in their new apartment this morning. They didn't seem quite awake when I first came in the garage and turned on the light, but after a minute they started moving around and pecking at the floor, so they're alright. I'm relieved. I have the EE and the BSL together, and I was worried about the EE because she was one of the three babies that was in the brooder when the light went out for half a day. I know it's silly, but I worry about her being a little traumatized.

Can't wait to move the other two teens out of the brooder, as well. I cleaned it up last night, and you wouldn't even know it this morning. It's gotta be them big dinosaur feet. The feet go in the waterer, the waterer tips and the water goes into the brooder, and the result is a wet, smelly brooder that I have to clean AGAIN and no water in the bottle for the chicks. Sigh........
