Utah!

Okay, I am so ****** now I can barely see straight. Those Isbars have finally stopped dying--the only ones left are the ones that were shipped when they were older. But now the BLRW's that were in the next brooder over are dying. I had put the Isbars in with them briefly when they first arrived (for maybe 4-5 hours) and I am dead certain at this point that those Isbars had some nasty communicable disease. Two days ago, the BLRW's started dying--3 so far, but now about 6 of them are dropping their wings, not moving about very much, and basically look like they are on their way out. It's like the freaking Room of Death in there.

I have not heard back from the seller of the Isbars again, since a couple of days ago when I texted him again the number that had died. Never in my life have I bothered to leave bad feedback for anyone, but this guy has ANOTHER set of Isbars up for auction on Rarebreedauctions.com! I hate to do it, but I absolutely cannot let this go. That guy's chickens have something going on with them. If he leaves me bad feedback in retribution, so be it. I was upset and frustrated that the ISbars were dying, but to have it spread to my BLRW chicks is making me furious!

It did go twice! So, edit this!

I hope this doesn't go twice, tried sending you something before cor..so, I would be for leaving neg feed back! If he isn't calling back, or writing back!
I would bug him a lot. Keep writing him. Try and be nice..it's hard for them to be not so nice, when someone is being nice...usually. :/ Let him know the story of the babies being put in with the BLRW's, they were fine, now they are sick. He has sick birds!
Put your sick birds away from any others you may have. Again, so sorry!

corvidae, I'm sorry. That's so awful

At least now you know it wasn't your fault you lost any of the babies. I can't blame you for being upset, though. Definitely keep talking to that seller and try to keep things civil. I'm sure you'd love to say a few scathing words to that guy right now, but in my experience, some people justify ignoring a customer when they feel the customer is being rude or nasty. I really hope he doesn't do that. Maybe he's trying to figure out what's going on and who is spreading the germs. I know, I know........it's nasty no matter what, but I have to at least try for the benefit of the doubt, here.

I really, really hope you can get this licked ASAP. Have you made a post in the Emergencies/Sickness section to see if anyone can figure out what it is?

For all of you who are planning to come up to Idaho Falls for the Rocky Mountain Chickenstock... last chance to set eggs so you'll have chicks to bring and sell or swap!! Only 3 weeks from Saturday!! See you there!!

So I tried to be a creepy stalker and look at the germy isbar breeder. I could only find two isbar auctions going, and both had 100% feedback. Does it take a while for negative feedback to show up? Have you heard back from him yet? I don't blame you; I would be so mad.

Chiko, congrats on your ducks!

Oh Donna i wold be hopping steaming mad. So So sorry for all those little losses, and all your hard work and waiting.....I sure hope he gets those chicks off the market before this happens to others

Here is my last pic post, I promise.

Sphinx-- here is a link to the auction: http://www.rarebreedauctions.com/au...hicks-greenfire-farms-stock&auction_id=106515

The seller doesn't actually have any feedback--no comments at all. I usually make it a habit not to bid on things sellers with no feedback are selling, just to be on the safe side, but I really wanted Isbar chicks, rather than shipped eggs. Greenfire isn't selling them right now, so I went ahead and bid on these chicks. Now I see that someone who is on this board is bidding on these and I don't know what to do! I sent an email to the seller stating that most of the chicks had died (which he already knew from texts back and forth) and that, as most of them died within the first 72 hours of receiving, I would like my money back. I sent it through the board rather than text so it wouldn't seem harrassing. It was just a short email, maybe three lines. The seller has already stated in texts that there is nothing wrong with his birds--apparently sees no sign of illness in them. I stated in the email that I would like a response tonight. Made it a very short, polite email (though email can always be taken as rude, regardless of what you write). I will give him until tomorrow afternoon before I leave any feedback. I would really rather not leave negative feedback for anyone. Not fun. But then, neither is a bunch of dying chicks.

I really want to warn the person on BYC that I see bidding on these birds, but I'm having a moral issue with it. It seems wrong to interfere in an auction I have no part in. I can't quite bring myself to do it. But, if I am going to leave bad feedback, I will do it before this auction ends so folks have a chance to retract their bids. I really hate this situation. And I'm really sick of having chicks die no matter what I do to help them.

My boys are calling it "The Chicken Plague." We are a plague house. Sheesh.
