Utah!

My new BBS babies...thought I better get them here before they sell. Some going tonight, the rest tomorrow to the guy that I originally bought the eggs to do this for.  Whew, glad he called.

Picture overload!  Before they are gone.  Pretty cute Ameraucanas..blues and splash....

great pics! Love this breed---so glad I picked mine up tonight from you --I would be on here saying "I want one!!"

Ok ok yes ma'am off to bed I go. :) Keep looking at the cute chicks I brought home. They always look so sweet when they are sleeping. Sleep tight--don't let the chicken bug bite :)

This is a funny story. We go to pick up BluJems' rooster. The guy answers the door and is telling us how that darn wife had four or five chickens and now she has XXXX many and the city oridnances say the limit is (5 i think he said). I look at Wendy and said "what an awful person" haha. Chicken math strikes again. So glad to hear it is more and more people.
Cynthia--the babies are awesome, those little Am's are so quiet and sweet. Love them!! Thank you so much! PM me your address girl!!!
Oh here is another guessing game for you all......I told Cynthia I would take a few chicks. I told her 3 max. How many did she send for me....was it 3?
That splash looks a weensy bit boyish to me....I have been on the fence with that one. Beautiful colors, love the look...I see what you mean though about it being hard to tell. Thanks again I appreciate you

And thanks Red for transporting. It was so fun to see everybody! Got to see Donna, Red, Sphinx, AND get chicks from Cynthia so it was like seeing her in a way.....not as good as the real thing. Wendy I had so much fun gabbing with you the whole night, got to know you so much better. Oh and I will tell you all here that I cannot drive and talk at the same time, and Wendy is the BEST navigator. She saved me from getting lost. Guess what Wendy? I drove right past the Brigham Exit on my way back and had to backtrack. I had to laugh at myself for doing that. Was thinking about chickens.

Funny did you tell them about this sight and all the enablers on here?

Oh my goodness, check out that 5th picture down, looks like I'm squezzing that poor baby like a squeeze toy, and it's screaming! It was just crying away the whole time I held it, I promise I didn't squeeze too hard! Poor Baby.

I noticed that and I was laughing out loud. I didn't want to hurt your feelings, but I've been really giggling. Do you have a bet for my chick numbers?

So pic overload alert---these are the BLRW's that hatched out yesterday. Haven't been up to the land yet, so I don't know if the broody has hatched her or not. There were two splash babies out of 17 that ended up hatching. I still have 2 eggs in the incubator, but I doubt they will do anything good. Sorry for some of the sideways pics--I have the hardest time getting pics I take with the iPhone to turn the way I want them for some reason.

One of my friends on facebook was asking about chickens and how they are to keep. She's been wanting some, so I sent her a link to BYC

I also have a cousin who's interested in getting into them. He and his wife might take some of my barnyard mix babies that my broody is setting on. I fully intend to promote this site to him, as well.

Sphinx, Lisa - Aww! I can't bet. I already know how many you came home with.

corvidae, beautiful babies! They've got such a pretty, dark color to them. Love it.

Corvidae, those are beautiful babies. I'm really, really hoping your dark trend continues with my eggs of yours that I'm incubating. Considering I got more splash with the other batch (of someone else's) I did, and that I'm dying for a darker blue girl, I think I'll end up bucking your trend and getting tons of splash.

Just watch.

Soooo, Lisa and I got to see all of Corvidae's GORGEOUS birds. I left my purse in the car so that I wouldn't be tempted to buy anything. But then I saw her girl cream legbars, and I just couldn't help myself, and I had to buy one. They are so beautiful!!

So this chick is Indy (short for Indiana).

And this chick is the white cream legbar:

He immediately snuggled in with my other chicks. I'm calling him Jones.

They are called Indy and Jones because they survived the Brooder of Doom. (ha ha ha)

Thanks again for letting me take them, Corvidae!

I know how many! :duc Awww you told while I was writing. She/they sure are nice!!

Donna---so cute you got the pics up! How did those last 2 eggs go? Did the pipped one make it? They did look like popcorn in that gun cabinet err ahem incubator of yours :)

So I will put pics up of this splash from Cynthia. Very cute. Buuuuuttt there are the little three rows on the pea comb.....not too red, a titch of pink....if it is a roo it is going to be a very handsome boy! I put it straight out in the run this morning....lots of hot potato going on, yelling flapping....but after about ten min of that it found a few good hiding spots and now they are leaving it alone for the most part. Poor baby. It does need a friend.....I will get pics in just a minute and you guys should guess what you think it will be.

Phoenix/Bluejems---your roo looks like a hen to me. They said it crows, but it cheep cheeps just like the rest all day....hmmm....how is it that everybody else wants girls and they end up boys.....you guys want a roo and it just isn't working out for ya, twice now?! lol! You have the magic touch. I better hold on to this polish I got from you, chances are probably really good it is a girl!

Which brings me to this part. My friends, you will be so proud of me, I have sold a few this morning and working on making a little room for the babies. I am thinning out the ones that are crabby...have crazy suspicious red combs...and the older ones that are laying smaller eggs. I got a double yolker from Shirlee this morning, good girl! And have two more olives from LaVerne....I have to say they really have laid every day so that is a good thing. Some of my missing feather butts are going to have new homes. I better take a good picture before the others start fighting again :) It is so hard to part with any of them, but alas, it has to be done.
