Utah!

most mine are super sweet but there are some not so friendly birds in every breed. one is named ms b for a reason but she will still sit with me. the others are super sweet. one demands a "kiss" every night, she rubs her comb against my nose and talks softly to me. my black sex links like to talk with me, love to cuddle and are so funny. i love their color with that green sheen over their black feathers. one even has the feathers on her neck like a spr or a welsummer but they are golden with the black center.

The BSL I got for my mom doesn't exactly like to cuddle, but she's always been polite to us. If I catch her and pick her up, she doesn't fuss much while I pet her or carry her around. Her feathers feel like velvet, too. She's such a sweet girl. And I agree with Birdman - they're great layers! I don't know how much her eggs weigh, but I'm always surprised at how big they are.

I have yet to try a RSL. I've thought about it a few times, but I'm more of a sucker for the breeds with exotic coloring. When I can get some ex-battery hens, I would be very excited if they were RSL's.

Anyone else get the crazy rain that came through? Both my Icee cockerels and two of the turkeys were outside in it. They're dryer now and put away, but one of the white turkeys got a quick bath before we dried her. Pheeeeew. If you think chickens are stinky to bathe, you ought to try a turkey!

I live in Idaho right now, but have been offered a job in the SLC area. I was wondering if you can give me some information on ordinances on keeping chickens in the city limits. My wife has been looking at houses from Bountiful to all over SLC. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Talk to Wendy, Sphinx She is a realtor and know the rules. Taylorsville is good but no roosters. Most of the cities hae that rule. Midvale needs a permit lots of hoops to jump thru.

I am going to Orem today. If anyone is getting chickens from Cindy I can bring them back to taylorsville. I have misplaced my cell phone but you can call me at animal Medical Services 801 225 3346 leave a message if I am not there yet or hubbys cell is 801 597 1287.
