Utah!

Okay, I don't know how many of you are watching the Easter Hatch-a-long thread, but someone put a link to this on there. Hilarious!

I loved it. I am so glad my roosters are sweet. If they aren't to the pot they go

I am having the worst time keeping up with you all! I'm reading everything, I promise!

Sundance, love those seramas. How are the chicks doing that I gave you? Still looking girly? I think I had 5/7 girls from that hatch. My boys are so obviously different from the girls that I'm thinking that the FBCM/Legbar mix is a sexlink.

Corvidae, I'm glad that Gimpy seems to be doing ok getting around. I'm trying really hard to resist the urge to get a couple more legbars from you. I may hatch some of your BLRW though. I ended up selling all the ones I hatched last year, and I really want a BLUE BLRW (all I have is a splash).

Red, that's a funny link, and I got a kick out of your story.

Grit: I have to admit I've never bought any for my chickens.

Remember this picture?

Well, I wasn't too sure that it would hatch, eggs that size don't
usually make it. Well I candled tonight. I saw a foot..a huge foot!
I couldn't believe the size of this foot. Now I am pretty sure there
aren't two in there, that foot is belonging to one big bird..I mean chick.

Maybe it is Big Birds's Egg?? :gig Cynthia you HAVE to get this to hatch, it will be AWESOME! Maybe it will be a mutant chicken, laying monster eggs he he.... Sphinx, I have not bought grit either...ever....I keep thinking the oyster shell should get things moving along pretty well....wonder if it is something to consider? Hmmmm....

Hi All! Joybells and I are looking for a ride for our ducks to get from here to there, or close to it. Anybody going that way? I'd drive them to Brigham or Ogden/Layton area, no problem. Joybells, where are you at again? She could drive as far up as Taylorsville.

Dancen-love, love, love your Seramas! I've been thinking about trying to hatch some, and you may have just convinced me to do it!

BluJems/Slvrphoenix, SO many adorable pictures! I can't wait until our baby goats are born so we have our own to cuddle whenever we want. :)

Corvidae, I'm so sorry to hear about Gimpy! Glad she seems to be settled into her new life. That's always so tough...we've had situations where it's best for the animal to put them down, but the kids were so distraught over it.

I've never given my chickens grit, either.

I've got bantam cochin eggs coming!

they say you should always offer grit, even if you think they get all they need on their own. so i just buy a little bag at the feed store for a few dollars. its worth it to me. if i could i would buy a big bag but none carry it. plus a 3lb bag lasts a while. there are different sizes of grit, chick and for adult chickens. oyster shell does not work as grit. cal ranch does not get their chicks until around the 1st of march. :) cynthia i hope you can get that egg to hatch because i would love to see the size of that chick lol and i hope its a female too!

My daughter has decided to sell her Blue Breasted Red Old English...2 hens and 1 Rooster.....If anyone is interested.

Do you feed it to them free choice in a dish, or spread it around..?
