Utah!

I want a leghorn/EE. Sundancen's was soooooo beautiful!!!

Since nobody will ever guess, I'll just say. I brought her girl scout cookies for her. No birds were exchanged. LOL

OMG I wanted to get some of your babies. So very, very badly. I was so proud of my self restraint.

Especially since today I asked dh how many chickens we owned, and he had no idea, and over guessed by 5. So I could totally sneak a few extra in and he'd never notice.

Oh man Sphinx. You keep taking the fun out of the guessing game, by all this self control. I just want you to break down once. C'mon.

Speaking of self control, all I had to see were the words "Girl Scout Cookies" and I broke into the easter candy that I bought and put "up" for the kids. Impulsive? Nah. Not me....

I have yet to procure any girl scout cookies this year. I keep forgetting and then running out of time.

Yay for everyone meeting and driving safe! I checked the EE eggs in my bator tonight. Day twelve. All are clear except for one that looks like it could have started, then quit. Dang.

Moriah - I keep forgetting to say, but did you get that job?! Awesome! When are you guys moving?

I have a Mille Fleur leghorn I hatched out a couple of weeks ago if you want it. no idea if it is a boy or girl. A seller sent that egg as a "bonus", but I really don't have much use for the chick.

Red, I'm going to be in West Valley today, delivering cookies to my aunt. Going to be awfully close to your house.....

Lisa, my speckled sussex was an impulse buy. So was both of my polish. And my 8 babies are evidence of my lack of self control because I didn't sell them...

In other exciting news, that baby that was in the shattered shell hatched last night! It appeared to be perfectly healthy AND a girl when I went to look at it last night. We also checked on the babies under the broody. Her sister had hatched (also seemed to be a girl, but it was awfully dark and it wasn't dry yet) and the third egg had a nice big hole in it. I'll bet it's hatched by now.

Awww, I'm not going to be home until later tonight. I've got church soon. And I'd feel bad buying them on a Sunday. Will you be down here any other days??

And congrats on the cracked chick!

I put 3 of my own eggs from my 3 bantam cochins in to lock down on Friday. Hoping the 3rd pips/hatches, but she has only been laying for a couple months so her egg is slightly smaller than the year old girls. But the egg candled well before lock down. So, fingers crossed!
On Tuesday, all the cochin eggs from Luckypickens go into lock down.
When I started incubating these eggs, I had also put in an egg from each of my "big girls" (Wyandottes and Hedwig the Ameraucana) None of them were fertile. So, it has been proven that it's a little difficult for Clay (bantam Wyandotte roo) to fertilize the big girls. LOL
