Those are nice looking chicks--look a lot like mine do, which bodes pretty well. The one on the right may end up being a Black Laced Red--from the pic, it's a little on the darker side, but still possibly a Blue. The one on the left is pretty certain to be a Blue Laced Red. If those two lace out nicely as adults, you'll likely have some show quality or near show quality birds there. They look to have some good blues coming out on them. You really can't tell the true quality on BLRW's until they are close to full-grown, but these two look to be off to a very promising start.

Here are the BLRW The one on the left has always looked lighter one the head. The one on the right has almost black on it's head. Do you think they will both be red still?

Sundance- Thank you so much, if this little one keeps this up I may come visit you

I so want some BLRW. does anyone have any hatching around Monday? Corvidae? I have two sex links ( yes i finally got some from my flock as long as my colors are true) that will be hatching under my broody on Monday and i could probably sneak a couple more under her. Oh sorry cyndiloowho, beautiful chicks, The bigger one seems to have more black then blue but Corvidae is the expert. Are these from eggs or hatchery?

I agree with Corvidae's assessment of the BLRW. No clue on gender at this point though.

Bird Guy, those are some beautiful baby goats. Love them.

Sundance, your babies are adorable!

hello i am very new to chickens and love mine already i was wondering if you can have a feather legged breed in with the smooth legged breeds, because i really like the look of Cochins but i don't know if my other girls will let me have one in with them. help please?

I have a few in the incubator from my flock, but the first three aren't supposed to hatch until the 19th and the others not until the 25th.

Welcome! Yes, feather-legged breeds should do fine with the clean-legged breeds. The biggest thing you'll probably worry about is that when the feather-legged chickens are in mud or water, their feet will get very wet and messy. But other than that, everyone I've talked to loves them!
