Utah!

How old is yours, Lisa? I have this frizzle that came from Sundance. I *think* it's around 7 weeks old. Looks very, very girly to me.

Frizzle chick is on the far left, about to get a drink. Her frizzled mom is buff and mostly behind her, and then my frizzled ameraucana is in back of that. That's a lot of frizzle in one place!

Desert, I'm disappointed that only four eggs made it into lockdown. What a bummer. I hope you get four gorgeous pullets out of it.

Lisa, Sorry for the three losses. Those babies are sure adorable though. I just love the look of chick #2. I bet #1 is special, with the partridge type coloring. And #3 is going to be stunning. #2 is my favorite of yours so far though.

Today my dh picked up a chick from Sundance that I was going to foster. I'd planned to have it be with my 2 week old legbars. However, I wasn't home when he got here. He thought it was a buddy for my new chick, and stuck her with the broody. Well, my broody is just pleased as punch there's TWO babies under her now, and the chick really is more of a size of my new hatchling, so I'm going to keep it that way.

awsome too cute

saw this and thought of all you.

Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook will recognize that picture as my cover photo. Lol

So one of my "dead" fbcm eggs chirped at me. Not so dead I guess.

Desert, you'll have to post pictures of your babies when they come. I'm also interested to see how your legbars from me turn out. Hopefully they're gorgeous.

I had an odd chicken dream last night. Delarooshans contacted me and told me she'd accidentally given me the wrong legbar rooster, and could she swap it out. She came to do that, and then warned me the one she was giving me was also part skunk. It was so funny!

Hi Sphinx!!! Yep, I'm hoping for pullets

. Geez, I'm getting so excited to see any hatching babies again.

I've heard of those skunkens, or was it chinks...lol..

This is one of the 'rescue' babies!!

Today was Newcastle Vaccination day

... whew.... so tired it's over
clap.gif
. Did mine and the neighbor's chicks, youngsters and grown chickens. Booster is in 4 weeks

.

Cleaned out the new 'mancamp' trailer a couple days ago and the youngsters that were living in the transitional small brooder coop were transferred over. Here's pic of them with all the space!! They are lovin' it

.

And on the other side of the unit, the Buff Orpingtons have found a new home. They are saying "Wow!!! Our own place!!" They don't have an outside run yet but that will be done within the next few weeks.

Then there's the youngsters that were in the big indoor brooders.... they are now outside in the transitional brooder coop.

Inside the indoor brooders are a measly 9 babies...lol... looks so empty!!! Know that when the incubator starts kicking out babies, they will be full!!

The Wheaten AM Chickenstock eggs from Shawn, which hatched out 4 beautiful babies, have been moved to the brooder tub, leaving the brooder cages free for new occupnats.

And what happened to those 'rescue babies', you ask? All but one is doing well...the last still has a major healing problem going on, because the poor little thing just had no butt left from the acid in the waste burning the tissue away. The waste ball on his poor butt was as big as his entire body!! Here's some photos of the babies!!

Casa, does this Wheaten roo look familiar??? He's the one I got from you. I put both the little roos in with these little babies, and they immediately started caring for them. Here's a pic with a baby under his wing (sorry my camera turned the pic) . He is also very protective of them, and challenges me when I handle them and treat their butts. Today, while they were getting their vaccines, he sat on my knee and oversaw the whole deal.

Here's some close ups!!

Check with Daloorashens, she got some Wheaten Marans eggs awhile back and was going to breed them but not sure what hatched or if she got what she wanted. Dang I was hoping it was a girl for you, wish I would have had more than one chick hatch!

My frizzle is slightly pink on her comb, but not red at all...but it is a little bumpy. If you have a chance to post a pic of yours i would love to compare and see if they look the same or different to help us guess genders

I'll do that and as soon as I find a camera I will post pics
