Utah!

Darkness has returned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed was out clreaning the Koi pond and heard the hiccup. She was nudging his leg wanting treats no worse for wear. I was down in orem and he called me. When my car pulled in they all ran to back door I was so happy to see her. I gave her a big hug and some bread as a treat. She looks fine considering she was gone for 3 days no idea where she was. Looked at he frizzle but i prefer a sizzle from my breeding if possible

Yay!

So happy you found her. I thought I lost one a few weeks back, I looked everywhere but the nest box. HAHAHA, I hadn't seen any of them up there yet, and she was sound asleep. Freaked me out so bad.

Here ya go...did you see my package of eggs get dumped onto that belt? Where he says, you didn't think we handles all of the mail did you? It's no wonder our eggs are scrambled..many different times before they get to our hands. :/

so with all the water restrictions that they are doing or may do i think it is very wise to store a little water for the chickens just in case. and save some water for you too. always good to think about chickens and other pets when thinking of emergency preparedness. i am a big fan of rain barrels too as they can be a great source of water for pets or plants or whatever.
Well, I have a supply that I keep in the house, but know DH will want his entire extended fam here if something bad happens in the world. Have repeatedly told him we need more water. We are right next to a river and a mile from a reservoir but still, I'd like fresh. We also have two personal wells, but still, again, I'd like fresh tanks of water.

Wow, I knew they throw everything around, but I didn't know it was that bad. I actually ship stuff out everyday, I run an online business. Now I'm glad that I feel like I over pack things.

Yaaaay! So glad she came back. Wonder if she found a boyfriend somewhere? She is so pretty.

Cynthia...I may never want shipped eggs again! Scary video. I really bet they do get dumped out over and over and over. Even with all the labeling.

Corvidae, you are really downsizing, whoa! Wish I would have been in on this before I got all these chicks this Spring. Hope they all find great homes :)

I have put all but the last two chicks in the big run today. lots of chick chasing going on. (again) i will be so glad when they are all finally together and getting along!

I still have a Blue Wheaten male chick about 8 weeks old if anyone is looking. Free....

I have been putting my showgirl roo in the garage at night. Wow he is getting some lungs on him. At 5:15 am. We want to go camping Saturday night I am seriously contemplating taking him with us to spare my neighbors. And my Houdans rooster has discovered the joy of Cheetos. Goodness. He got one out of my hand yesterday and just yells at me every time I come near him for more. I was out there with Cheetos several times today to get him to quiet down. They are so bad for him. And me lol. Not sure if these boys are going to be as fun as I thought...they eat all my Cheetos.

Desert congrats on the hatching, yay! So glad your bator is doing a good job. Would love to see the keets if you get a chance to take pics!

I agree on water storage, the more the better. You just never know. We are close to a river also, so I keep lots of purification gear on hand..just in case. Hope I never need it!

Sundance...here is a picture of one of the chicks I got with the bantam RIR. If its a roo you can have him. The kids want to keep it if its a hen. What do you think roo or hen
