Utah!

We are finally getting 3 eggs!....My olive egger started laying.....It isn't as olive as I had hoped. Looks more like the marans egg....that may be my next wishlist with the monster's showgirl.....
I taught the monster to make scrambled eggs a couple months ago and we have been going through the eggs like crazy ever since. Maybe with all 3 laying we will keep up on eggs now.

Okay now with 2 girls laying eggs, I've been just putting them in the fridge, how long are they good for? Sorry, I know stupid question.

But I usually have expiration dates on my egg cartons. hahah

We finally decided to go camping. We were going to drive to Lava Hot Springs camp fpr 2 days them come home. We made it to Mccamom Idaho and the Motorhome blew a tire. it then tore out the tail pipe and also ruined a tire on the tow car. So tell me isn't camping suppose tp be fun. We camped 2 nights in the parking lot of the tire store in McCammom. At least the view was pretty with a river bottom and some horses with foals. After the RV was fixed and all the tailpipes fixed we drove to bear lake and spent the night at the KOA. We got up and started to drive home. Just as we are pulling into evanston the tire in the tow car blew and we ruined the rim taking it to the tire store, so now we're camping at the RV park in Evanston waiting for a new rim. But we are having fun. I want one of the Frizzled show girls if they are pullets. I hope to be home tomorrow

Red, when you were talking about your neighbor, at first I thought she was calling YOU homely for having chickens on your lawn. Then I re-read and totally cracked up. She sounds hilarious.

Sara, congrats on the new job!

Silly, that is so awesome that they let you take the uneaten fruit. My chickens and cows would LOOOOOOOVE that. I wonder if I could get my kids' school to let me do that.... Home grown eggs that are unwashed are good for a couple months at least. I try to get mine eaten within 3-4 weeks.

Sundance, that sounds like a nightmare trip! I hate that you had all of those blowouts. What a pain. I hope the return trip is uneventful.

The litte banty roo is spoken for. Wow that was fast

Love it when that happens. Still have that Silkie though.

I'm thinking that banty..the one you pictured..is a Birchen in coloring. You got it taken already? Wow.
Which silkie are you talking about..have to go back and read...

I have two white SG's right now..babies. Hoping I get a girl. Lisa, if one is a boy..would you be interested? I know you are wanting whites. These are the ones that I showed you with the nice long fluff on the necks, some of the siblings. Remember?
Anyway, I have the 10 in the bator now, that could be white, black, or splash. She shows a splash SG..oh my goodness, those are pretty.

Oh my goodness..you have a great attitude. Fun, in the parking lot. :))

I have Houdans, SG/NN Mixes, in the bator, if I get any extra Houdans I will let you know. You are sure welcome to take this little guy if you want to try! They are not to hard to re-home in SLC if you need to. I also have a SQ pure white bearded Silkie Roo that is almost 4 months old too. From Varner Lane Fancies, (sikie_sue) on here. He is gorgeous. You can have him Free if you want him, I have to get him re-homed before he starts crowing, and to make room for the SG/NN babies. I have 4 silkies and 2 Purebred SG that are around 3 months old, if I have extra females for sale I will let you know. I only want to keep 2-3. I have a blue partridge Silkie that is for sale for sure. I **think** it is a girl, but not positive. I can post pics if you want to see. That one is $7. I am only keeping the Whites, and B/B/S colors to breed with my SG rooster.

Has your silkie roo started to crow yet?

Sundance, I totally feel for you. Look what happened on the way back from Moab a couple of weeks ago.

Blew a tire. And yes, it did shred a nice new hole INTO the trailer. Plus rip off part of the fender and trim. Sawdust and splinters everywhere, but I did have to laugh because the floor had gotten so dirty with camping. I said, "Good thing we didn't already sweep that!"
