Utah!

I live in Logan, I come to your area frequently enough I could bring you eggs---the ones I have now are jumbo coturnix brown, I got mine from IcyOldHen, who got some of her stock from pawtraitart I think, they are both in Idaho but I have family up there, so I go that direction too....IcyOldHen got some Texas A&M quail a little while ago and some new stock coturnix that were supposed to be really jumbo size, I would like to get more eggs from in the Spring from her and hatch, if she still has them available :) Anyway they are around just holler when you want some I am sure we can find some no problem. I think pawtraitart has bobwhite quail too
I will let you know. I would like to get bobwhite. Or California valley. And how much do you think they will be.

My Seramas are growing so fast, but not so big. :) They scrambling up in the corner away from me. Got a few separate ones up front.

Brian is getting this frizzle

Those look like little Robins!!!! haha! Are seramas the chickens that are super tiny?!? I've seen them in a neighbors yard running around before, but I didn't know the breed!

Cynthia, so cute! I see a few little roos in there. D'awww!

Sara, there is nothing wrong with a good, comforting hug to start with, in my opinion. What a tragic thing to have happen. I'm sorry.

Well, I feel lame saying this now, after what Sara and her friends are going through, but I got the job. I start on the 22nd.

Ace. yes, seramas are the smallest chicken in the world. They are almost fully feathered, but not quite yet. The coloring is always changing as they grow..fun part.

Red, I am wanting a small roo. :) So, I will keep some to watch, and the one with the smallest crow, stays. Or two, if there are a couple that crow small, and not often. I want to breed them. :) They are so much fun, and sweet too. And, Congratulations on getting the job!!

Cynthia, your seramas are so beautiful! I love them.

Red, CONGRATS on the job!!!! I am so excited for you. I hope that it's wonderful.

Sara, what an awful tragedy. I feel so bad for that poor family. What a terrible thing. I would write a card. I would also tell the mom that you are more than happy to watch the kids while she mourns or takes care of all the STUFF surrounding the situation. I think knowing her kids have a safe place to go would be incredibly helpful.

How big are their eggs?!? Do they still lay several times a week? Haha. I find these little robin-chickens very fascinating! Gosh! You could fit like, 20 in a coop rather than 4 LF!

Also, Since you're talking about breeding. Is it bad to keep a male offspring from a current flock? Like, having it be the rooster over its mom and sisters? Cause something to me just thinks that is not right! Should I go get a different rooster to put in my flock?!?

I love my little seramas. Definitely my favorites! It will be fun to swap males next spring Cynthia lol. My seramas and old english game hens have been squatting, have any of the ones you and I got together squatting yet? I think I like my old english game hens more then the seramas, for some reason they are a great deal sweeter then my seramas. My OEGH have never pecked me but my seramas peck me all the time. Kinda funny. OEGH from what I read were bred to fight, but I have not seen an ounce of meanness in either of them. Guess I lucked out.

Red, next time I'm around your area I will bring all the feathers I have been saving for you. A big old zip lock full lol. There might be some cocketiel feathers in there fron when I lived at my mother in laws house, can't remember for sure though.

I had a great time with my nieces! They are so cute and boy were they helpful helping me clean coops and gather eggs. I can't wait for them to spend anothet weekend with me:)

Thank you julie for the eggs from your stock. I will let you know in a few days when I candle them what I see:) first time hatching eggs and don't expect a great hatch.

Cynthia, I can't wait gor the little frizzle, its sooooo dang cute! Thanks for coming over the other day and candle the serama eggs. It was a good learning experience. I'm hoping I will get a few eggs to hatch between the eggs I got from you, julie and brandi...

Acemario, I agree with you on the rooster. I have no idea if that's proper protocol or not, but I feel funny about having parent/child or siblings breed. I suppose in extremely rare breeds it can't be helped, but I generally try to have my rooster come from unrelated stock.
