Utah!

So since we are all in agreement that they are in fact fertile.  I want to get a basic incubator.  I've been looking and most hold dozens of eggs.  What is a good one that is just for like 6-8 eggs.  I can't keep any of these chicks, unless I for sure re-home some.  But I really dying to incubate them.  I might just have to keep one or two and get rid of a few outside.

Any thoughts. Its driving me mad.  I do have 2 from today sitting on my counter with the pointy side down, and the fat side up.  Any other tips.  I've never incubated anything, and I need to go get an incubator.

I have a brinsea mini advance and love it. Highly recommend it!

I BOUGHT AN INCUBATOR! My husband isn't too thrilled with me about it. But I'm like on cloud nine that I might see what I could possibly hatch. Now… I need help. Its coming from Idaho, so hopefully I have it by Thursday the latest, did say 4-14 day shipping, but there actual shipping page on their site says it comes ground Fedex and to Utah is 2 days, so here's hoping. I got it from Incubator Warehouse, they seemed to be the cheapest and it was a combo set. I got the Hovabater with the fan, temp gauge, and candler. So freaking excited. Now I have to set up the brooder upstairs again. Oh well, its going to be so much fun. I can't wait.

Now I have 2 Eggs that I kept out of the fridge today since they were still warm when I got them. I did write on them with a pencil 12/29 so I remembered, and they are with the pointy side down in the egg crate, and I do have them on an angle. How should I store them to wait for incubating? I will hopefully add 2-3 more to them tomorrow, but I do have to run up to Salt Lake in the morning and everything seems like if I don't' get it in the first 30 minutes they are like frozen cold.

Cynthia, I love the happy dance. I got the Hovabator 1602N with the fan, egg turner and the digital temp. So since you said that you had the same one, is there any tips I should know about on this incubator. I hope it works good. I'm really kind of thinking maybe I should have spent the extra $30 or so and get the Brinsea.

Red, does this mean you have some eggs for me?

Possibly, but only if Sundance says it's okay. I have three eggs so far, but I'm not sure how viable they are or not.

Red if you have some eggs, I might buy some from you because I'm going to want a few other eggs to through in there. I still can't believe I even have fertile eggs, and I want to at least have some from a proven Rooster so my 5 year old isn't sad that none hatch.

All I have that I could offer to you are mixes, unfortunately. My Icelandics are all on strike and I don't think it's my place to sell the Serama eggs, when they belong to Sundance. She's the one you would want to buy them from, as I'm only babysitting them.

Oh oh, I think I told you the wrong one..I looked at your photo..I have a still air~! I used to have one like that though. It did well too. And..I..didn't...like...the...Brinsea! I know, some like it. I could not keep those dog on eggs still in those brackets!

Totally okay, I just want something other then my eggs to through in the incubator, because I don't really believe I have fertile eggs, even though everyone says they are fertile. :D

Plus I will probably screw up this first hatch anyways.

What one do you have then? I asked Brian, and he didn't know which one he had either, just that he liked it. lol

I looked back at your thread..it says still air?
He has one of mine. Not sure if he is going to buy it or not. Still air.

Yes, its still air. Is this bad? I'm sure I can cancel it as it hasn't been shipped out yet.
Ok..that's good. You said with a fan..still air is great. All I know is that mine is a 2100 model. Not a Hova..but pretty much the same thing. You will like it. Your's has the wafer turner in it..I did have one of those too. I think I've had a few different bators. lol..I liked the one like yours.
