Utah!

Cynthia is right--the fan just complicates things-- I have both. Prefer the still air cheapo one the most, easier to keep humidity where you need it :) The one with the fan does not have nearly the hatch rate my still air does...I use it when I have two batches due at different times, but Always put the best eggs in the still air :D

Well crap… I thought I was getting everything that I needed in the stupid combo pack. I emailed them to cancel the order. I see what Cal Ranch or IFA has tomorrow.

Thanks guys :D

Are you hatching anything right now Lisa? Or waiting for spring. My next hatch after this one will be the Easter Hatch A Long. :)

Nope, there are 6 chickens across the street from us, the the guy 3 houses down has about 4 hens. And the person on the other side of my direct neighbors has 5. As far as I know, no one has a rooster, and everyone but me keeps them in an enclosed run. I'm the only one on the block that lets the fully free range.

Silly--that is what I have.
Cynthia--Not yet! I have quail eggs on the counter calling out to me....trying to wait until my trip to Idaho falls in a few weeks, I am hoping to get SBEL eggs from birdguy, his leghorns are ready to start laying anytime, and the rooster came from nice blue eggs :D

I have a friend that has a flock of Legbars that she needs to sell. She was in an accident last year, had the same type of surgery I had on her neck, and now, it seems that she is having more problems with her neck. She shot me a quick e-mail saying that she was going to move, and needed to get her chickens placed! I couldn't believe it. She is going to call me and let me know more. Not sure how she is selling her flock of legbars, and other chickens. She says the rooster of the flock is a sweetheart and it kills her to have to give them up. She put like 400 dollars into them. She made it sound like she wanted to sell them, but not sure if she has someone, or how much. Will have to talk to her again. She has some nice birds over there..guess where she got some of them.

Can't remember if she still has some of Dick Hortsman's Silver Laced Rocks..like Brad has..you still have that one Brad? At least I thought you got one.

Just went and reread her mail. She was one to go the schools. She was hoping to find someone that would want to use them, legbar eggs.. for schools.

yep i still have the silver laced rock, she is the eye candy of the flock, one of the more beautiful chickens i have ever seen. sorry i do not have pics of her. but if any of you have a chance to get one, especially one of these show quality ones, especially from this breeder who has arguably the best stock out there i highly suggest it. they lay great, not as much as a production bird but great still. and plus they look stunning. look at them http://horstmanspoultry.com/largefowlhome/silverpencilrock.html
