Utah!

What do you think they are, Red? It kind of looks like *maybe* a RIR and an EE, but I'm just not sure.

My goose egg is still incubating nicely. NONE of the 29 or so other goose eggs that my friend acquired are good though. :(

I shipped some OE hatching eggs out of state a few months ago, and she got 10/12 to hatch. She only got two pullets, but she PM'd me last night to tell me one of them is a frizzle.

Iluv, I candled that black egg tonight..still viable.

Woo hoo! Do baby chicks sometimes just quit developing? What other colors are you getting in the batch? I may be interested in a paint if you get a cute fluffy one and wanna sell it as well with the black baby ;)

Oh no! Thats gotta be the hard part of buying eggs..never knowing what your going to get. 2 hens out of 10, thats crazy lol. I'm sure she's happy with her girls though :)

Sphinx, the one is a Cochin or something. It has furry feet, and today I realized it has a little bit of bearding going on, too. I think the striped one is an Egyptian Fayoumi, or possibly a GLW. I'm leaning toward EF because of how flighty it is. I'm pretty sure the little white one is an OEGB.

Showgirl! This is how they look. Except in this case it is a show"guy" lol This was my paint Roo.

(Like a Silkie but no feathers on neck, showing the black skin :D)

WILDwestchick---IMO, the bigger the bowtie the better.

La Casa de Pollo-- I prefer the clean necks...the bibbed/bow tied ones are cute, but with the clean necked ones I just love the nakedness of them! :D

I have mixed reviews on the crow collars. I put one of them on my big roo Hercules. He had been decrowed in Oklahoma and it did not work. I put the decrow collar on him and it was amazing. He was walking backward and crowing at the same time. The crow was very soft. You could hardly hear it. On the other roo Ernie my Sizzle had his collar put on. He was also walking backward. That is something they do when the collar is new. His crow was still loud. not diminshed at all. I'll catch him tomorrow and try to tighten the collar. I'll let you know how it does. On another note I still have fertile eggs available.
