Utah!

Thank you Iluvmysilkies!! The kids picked out the name Ebony for her and she fits right in! they hardly took a second glance at her they thought she was just part of the flock :D
Aww your very welcome. I've always loved her expression. She has very intelligent eyes. I bet she's going to settle in perfectly by the sounds of it :)

I have to admit I actually had to google Hatch UT and wondered if it was a typo. LOL

Sorry, the best I can do is OE, and I don't know of anyone going that far south.

I just went and checked on her, and my OEGB (the smallest chick go figure) was picking/attacking her! so I have been holding her and she's snuggling with me! so precious!
Aww, she loves to snuggle and will chose to snuggle with you over be with the other chicks especially right now lol. She was the biggest chick over here and was the boss so im sure she's confused and trying to find her place.

LOL! I know, it is really small, 100 people or so ... mostly in the summers. I have a bunch of olive eggers, which I love. Thanks for checking.

Anyone in Southern Utah breed Ameraucanas? I live in Vegas but am heading to Cedar City next weekend and have several broodies begging for fertilized eggs. Please help. We don't have many breeders down this way.

ETA: I will also be heading to Hatch, so can travel a bit for good eggs. I've had no luck with shipped eggs so I'd rather see what I can gather "locally" ....

I am in SLC and have frizzled Americana eggs available, Is anyone going to vegas

My eggs have decided they cant wait for 2 more days and started to hatch. i have 4 out of 5 that have peeped. 1 is starting on the side, should i be concerned or just let it be? sorry but this is the 1st time using an incubator without feathers.

When you say side, do you mean more in the middle of the egg than the very bottom..round bottom? Actually that is a good place, because the air sac drops down a bit when in lockdown. Once mine pip, I always watch and make sure they are making progress after 12 hrs..and that I can still see that beak moving in there. Because by 12 hrs, you should be seeing a larger hole..or...a whole chick! You never know how long they will take from pip to zip, to hatch! Are the the silkie eggs? They can come a bit early..sometimes right on time.
Diane knows, those silkes can be tricky, some come early, some come on time.
