Utah!

Cynthia, I'm almost wondering if my chick is just a really bad bred GLW. Because that was what I first thought when I saw it. Specially with the yellow legs. And if you really want a white Silkie. I'm really thinking my only Silkie I have left out of my hatch is a girl. 12 weeks old now, and not red at all, but I'm horrible with Silkies. I really want a Splash, so right now she is here till I find one. But if you want her let me know. She's pretty cute. Well at least I think so.

Did your daughter change her mind? If so, I may still be interested in her :)

No not yet... I would have to be sneaky about it if I really do trade her out. LOL After all it is Princess Elsa we are talking about. I'm trying to get her to call the Serama/Silkie Mix Princess Elsa, but I'm really starting to wonder it its a Roo. Its been making really odd chatting sounds. I don't know. Maybe Serama's talk. But if I did trade her out, I would try to get one that is about the same size, that way I could maybe pass it off as, I don't know, Elsa got dirty. hahahah!

A splash, like this? Me too! I think I have a couple of splash in there. Remember the smokey one? She is going to be a splash, but a real light one..I want one like I had. A blue with darker blue.

My past two....
Ahh, I still cant get over how beautiful they are. I want a splash just like that one to! The more dark blue splashes in it the better! :)

She's adorable :) And thats funny because me and my lil girl have been calling our white silkie girl Elsa also! haha. Well I call her Ellie lol.

There is always a hatch a long going on. Go up to the top and type in the search bar..May hatch a long. Or, are you talking about just one for here? That would be fun. :)

And on that post you guys are reading..that's Sally Sunshine for you. She studies it all. There are things that she has on there that I just don't do..won't go through them all, but weighing my eggs during incubation is one of them, and, I don't mark my eggs as the air sac grows, I only do it at lock down so I can see where it is, and that shows me when they pip how close they are to the air sac. I have hatched so long now, that I can tell if the air sac is developing too fast, or too slow, and adjust my humidity accordingly..not bragging, I'm sure many on here do the same. Eyeball it! :)
Can you come and live with me during this next month?!?!? I am trying to incubate some duck eggs and I have been worried sick that I have done everything all wrong! I've seen the May hatch along thread and even posted in it. People don't really respond in it much. I was thinking it would be fun to have one with some Utahns but I don't want to clog up the thread and bother people either.

Hahahaha! What if it's my husband????

Not sure with what though. With his favorite dessert? Dinner? Mow the lawn for a yr.? LOL..you may already do all of these things. But, I have to add, don't stop talking to your DH....about chickens! He'll get used to it. :D Mine has, and he even knows some of the chickens names, and he knows what a pip is, and a zip, and a quitter. He even knows what lock down is!

There have been times in this past yr. that I was trying to decide on which hen to put up for sale..I would hear...not Reba! Or, not Stella and Bella! He will now point out funny things that my chickens are doing. He has gotten into the love of chickens. :D He says he gets a kick out of me and my chickens. Love that man.
