Utah!

Yup...even had a murder there in 2005. My parents live just west of the park.

I remember that murder, awful! Did not realize it was gang related. Do your folks think it is still a problem? Just wondering if it is ok to keep taking the grandkids down there, we really have not seen any strange stuff, but don't want to take any risks if there are creepers hanging around down there!

I really think that, for the most part, it's ok to go there. Sundays are the worst though.

Elk, I wonder if it's a diet issue. Are you feeding them that grower for broilers? And, I saw SS at IFA the other day. When I go to get my turkeys, would you like me to grab one for you if they have some?

They're good on food but one of the feedstore owners (who didn't place the order) had a thought... I may have rcvd the broilers that process early. I get the names mixed and Ideal's site is down. McMurrays has two of the white frankens. One you can start at 6-8 wks for the itty bitty birds you see in the grocery store, or a cross that takes longer, grows slower and has less heart/leg problems. That would make complete sense, unless the birds look different besides size?

I'll hopefully talk to the owner that ordered today. If I hv the smaller birds I need to get rid of them ASAP. I'm high altitude so slowly kill them and there is no WAY I can talk my husband into processing them. It's too much work for that little amount of meat (he doesn't mind the bigger birds but still would rather gut an elk any day).

Would anyone want 9 birds (one is for nonhuman due to antibotics)? They were born 4/1, raised natural, off a light (except for cold nights here were it still hits 20).

I'd love to trade for a bag of Layena but could do free to anyone on this board. I'm not having the free chicken grabbers come scare the tar out of them, they'd for sure have a heart attack.

The feedstore is sticking with I ordered the "right ones" and just "lucked out" for 3 years and they don't see why we don't want to process smaller birds.

Please any takers out there? I have two gals on my deck that are in pain and I hate to dispatch for no reason. I can't just give them to my dogs looking like a chicken cause I had one I had to train not to kill. AND I hate to put an ad on KSL because I want a humane ending for them. I'm so mad right now ! I've worked 7 days straight with 4 more to go...so I may not reply right away but will check tonight when I get home.

I'm just outside of Park City.
