Utah!

Sunday evening and afternoon are not an option.   due to my surprise birthday party that I don't know about.  Ha HA
Saturday is fine or before noon on Sunday  If you want to see the chicks you can see them in Orem on Thursday or Friday

I will see what I can do about getting there Friday night then....my granddaughter has a Bday party but I might be able to go see her beforehand and miss the party. Saturday does not work out for me I have class :( If that does not work I will make sure to get it there early enough Sunday morning before Brian gets there. What time are you leaving Diana?

Turnipsmom--Appreciating your offer to help! But I did not understand your post for sure.....Where is Jeremy Ranch? I am in Logan, and needing to pick up a rooster in Taylorsville and dropping a bird off there for Brian to pick up and take back to Cynthia in Spanish Fork.

Advice needed:

The lot next to our house was bought after being empty 50 years. The builder is actually kind of a jerk of a man, so this is already starting bad.

My girls have free ranged in our back yard from day one. They have a small coop because they free range from sun up to down. They spend no day time in there.

Here is the problem, although they are still building, someone has decided to bring their dog over during the day. That fog has ripped at out fence and dug holes trying viciously to get into our property at the girls and even at my dog.

I do not believe in violence to animals of any kind, but another neighbor saw this and said... The minute it gets into your property... Shoot it.
What !?!? Wait. We are the only people in our neighborhood that do not own any guns. Even then, is that how people around here handle this sort if thing?

I would certainly want justice for my girls as they are not livestock to me, they are my pets. My flock is small, 7, they have names. Come when called. Sit with me while I read. It would be equivalent to losing our cat or our own dog if this dog came over and hurt them.

Our entire property is fenced in. We have never had trouble with any other wild life in our back yard. To include fox, raccoons, skunk, hawks etc. I do not think it is fair to lock the girls up in their tiny coop because by the looks of it, they neighbor can't contain his dog or won't. I don't know the difference. But I am so nervous they may be in future danger.
My stomach aches just thinking about this.

What have you done?
Or what would you do?

walk over to who ever brought the dog over. Ask them to contain the dog and explain the circumstances. They may be reasonable and do the right thing. If not get a cattle prod. When you see a head under the fence zap it. quick lesson

Sorry for not getting back yet. I'm off tomorrow and can jump back on. I didn't hv time to read all the posts, but if you found a great home for him already, then that = awesome.
