Utah!

I have some two week old babies outside. I turn a 100 W. bulb on them at night. They snuggle up with the NN I just got from Lisa like it's their mama..and the blue that I just got from Diana is right in the huddle at night. Not too tight under the light. It's nice out there now. It's 73 degrees now, and will only get down into the either the high 50's or low 60's where we are.

I would like to see photos of the nest box curtains. Yep.
Here you go! My coop and nesting boxes:

It is still a work in progress. The blue that you can see in the background is a full length mirror I got at a rummage sale for free so I hung it up by the roosts so my girls can see themselves. :) The coop itself also sits on a fenced in 1/2 acre so they can be let out to free range once they are a little older. I haven't even shown you the duck house!! My FIL let me have an old cast iron tub for their pond :). I think Hercules would be happy here if only my girls weren't so little!! :(

So cute!!! Are your nest boxes drawers? It looks like they pull out. Love it!

Diane, the gal from Eureka is saying she wants a Silkie rooster. What?

Anyway, I have someone else that will take him..she doesn't eat her chickens either. It's Brandi. She has some of my real pretty silkies, so hoping she has a girl in there, and, she also has a couple of my cochins. Real pretty ones..so the mix will be good on some of her hens. She's just in Payson.

awsome. tell her we can meet up somewhere

Herc would have loved it.

My broody is hatching babies today. So far we have 3. They are tiny the mother is my Mille fleur Duncle and dad is Ernie the sizzle. She is also setting on some chucker eggs they haven;t hatched yet. These chicks are so little. I am a bit worried as these babies are so little they may have a hard time in the yard. I have an extra coop but it has chicken wire and I think these babies are so small they can go right out.
