I saw these and couldn't figure out what they were for so I looked them up. http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22584 maybe they might help. The have high ratings on here. There are other types that are cheaper but they seem a bit inhumane as you have to pierce the septum with a pin.

Yes they are fun. I haven't had one in a while, glad I had these eggs. She has 6 babies under her now. I'm thinking just one more, or maybe this enough. She is a small hen. She never pecks me when I go to peek at them. Just fluffs up though.
One of the brown eggs was a white NN..and the other big brown egg just hatched..non NN .. as you had told me they were NN? So, this one is yellow also..white..and black on it's head and a black stripe down it's back. Big baby compared to the others..which all are either blue, or black, one, has yellow tint in the behind..do you have splash? I hope I hope.

And it's a lighter blue. So pretty.

shoot, if I were closer, I'd take you up on one! I have 2 sex links that are approx 6 weeks old as well, I have 3 about 14 week old girls, and I have room in my flock for one more chicken.

Hey, hope everyone is doing well. I had to skip the last few pages, so sorry if I missed anything. My grandma passed the other night and today was the funeral. I'm relieved she is no longer suffering from health issues.

Couple of things - We had some dogs get into our turkey pen this morning and chase my two toms out. They chewed the one up pretty good. We found both turkeys and got them back okay. No idea who's dogs it was, but I suspect the neighbors behind us that sound like they have the pound in their yard :/

And, I got my game cam up tonight! I was waiting on the huge capacity memory card I'd ordered for it, and it came today. So I tried to place the camera in a discreet place outside. We'll see what turns up. It can record for more than two weeks with this card in it. We may get some shots of the deer here, too.
