Utah!

Iluv, it will happen, just keep at it! It does take a few tries to get the knack of it. You can do this!

X2! I have a still air and it took me several upsetting hatches to get much of anything out of the eggs from my girls. This last time, I tried something different with the turning and got half of my eggs to hatch, which was great! Because I work evenings, I'm gone all afternoon and evening and can't turn eggs then. I tried turning eggs just twice a day at the same time intervals, and it worked so much better than the helter skelter turn-whenever-you-can thing that I was doing before. For me, regulating the duration of time between turnings was what helped best. That, and I rotated the eggs around in the incubator every couple of days so that they weren't in the same spot the whole time. Hope this helps!

Cynthia, I'm dying over your chick pictures. Soooo cute!

So my chickens are dodo heads and keep flying down into the wrong yard after roosting all night :/ I'm gonna have to cage them until I get more netting, which means I'll have some very unhappy birds for a bit. Too bad.

yep i have one of those buff orps :love she is a funny girl, always into something. and she kinda makes this laughing sound regularly. its funny. i love her even when she is being a pain lol. but she is sweet

It is a little girl isn't it? She says...noo way! Take this!

Had a great day! Austin had his Home Coming today. Gave a great talk, and shared some neat experiences that he had while out there in GA. He has a job now. Been on a few dates. Life goes on, a whole brand new chapter. Says he want's to start school in Jan. Was thinking the summer, but Jan. it is I guess. He sure likes to keep busy, he's still watching his watch. :) Can't be still too long. It was 2 weeks on Thursday that he's been home, so still hasn't been home for long. A couple of photos from today.

This is a companion he had out there, the next to last one, he came home a couple of
months sooner than Austin. They are buds now. :)

Going to hug a cousin.

He is now a Great Uncle. :)

A lot of hugs today. Was great having so much family and friends over.

Cynthia, so good to see your pics. You must be so proud of this boy, he is such a great kid (not kid so much, but I still call my 30 something year old kids "kids". haha) Glad you had a great day! The weather was very cooperative for November, yes? Beautiful day for his celebration.

Cynthia, sorry! I meant to answer your post about that and forgot. Not yet! She looks so ready. I think the timing of the shorter days right about the time they should all start laying is messing up their cycle.
I had several that age that should have started about a month ago, including a BR, which always start on time. They are all waaay over due haha. I am afraid the coming cold won't help. I have a timed light on in the big coop, but these younger ones were raised in the back and prefer the smaller coop, there is no light in there. I can't wait to see her egg, hoping for a blue ish one!
