Utah!

I am not wanting them, I just wondered. :D I have some sizzles in, and other eggs in right now for the hatch a long. The sizzles could go either way..silkie or sizzle..so will see what happens.
I don't think either look lavender, but that last one I would bet my bottom dollar is a splash. :D Glad I don't have a bottom dollar. :p You should let two go together Gary so there won't be a lonely baby. Those are some pretty babies!

I agree, very pretty! Thats why im so tempted to add a few to my batch of babies since im having to care for them anyways, why not add a few more lol. I am liking the two fluffiest ones you just showed, and maybe that white one with stripes if its feet are nice and fluffy to :) I normally prefer the vaults but I am very curious about the color on that one and wanna see what it turns into. I have a couple guesses, cause I have one who was like this as a chick and now she's a silvery/wheaten colored partridge. :)

So I've been way too busy with everything to jump on. Hope everyone is doing great! I just had to jump on because I got my first Olive Egg. I'm not sure which of the 2 OE's that I kept out of the hatch that I hatched from Wendy, but I'm like Merry Christmas to me from my girls. I'm so EXCITED! Its not a very dark Olive, but I will take it. I'm crossing all figures the other girl follows now, since just Ollie my NN and my new RIR are the only girls laying right now.

Also I'm thinking my Black Silkie that is around 3-4 months old now is a Rooster. Not 100% sure, but its double the size of the hatch mate, also has a bigger comb. No streamers yet. Also its starting to get silver neck feathers coming in, starting to get really pretty. I need to get out there and get some photos. Any takers on him/her? Hatched out of Gary's Splash Roo, and on of his girls, I think it was the Splash Girls that he gave me, and I got one Splash and this Black one, but its starting to change colors. LOL

Decided to run outside and take a few photo's of the one in question. Anyone on here can come get him/her for free. If not I will probably wait till it starts crowing if it really is a Roo before posting on KSL. Oh and here is my egg. :D

Here is the other one. I'm going to keep this one unless it crows. :D

Love the color of the Olive egg..perfect!

Actually, I'm thinking the blue splash looks more like a boy than the black one..I love that black one. Lisa can help out here, and Gary too..Iluve..all of the silkie pros.

NOOOOOO.... Don't say that, I was finally so excited to finally have a Splash. Well the Black one is actually bigger then all of my Silkie's, even the almost 2 year old hens. Its bigger/heavier then the splash. Also has a double the size comb, and it has a red hint of color. The Splash has a very flat comb, and its solid black. But who knows. I will be really sad. I did noticed when I picked up the Black one, it sounds like a duck. Very deep voice, and it makes other noises the then other girls. I really haven't spent much time with them since they were momma raised. Just makes different deep noises, not the normal chirps of the other girls. I don't know.

Karen...I used to think i knew how to tell the difference but i have tried to sale a couple hen that i thought were roos. I have noticed that the black ones do get bigger then the the other ones. And they grow a lot faster to.I have a black one that i tried to sale 3 different times. I think the black ones must take after my rooster, he is on the larger side for a Silkie. Even my LF Cochin's eggs are fertile. I think both of yours are girls but anymore its my rooster that lets me know who are girls and who are boys in my flock. They are easy to spot well before they start crowing because they are missing all their tall feathers.

Hope they are what you want. :) And here's something to make you smile after I made you go....

Well I don't know what they are, its kind of frustrating, at least they are gorgeous to look at. Really I'm not going to keep the black on, unless I decided to rehome my black/partridge looking on that is going to be 2 next May. I don't need 4 Broody Silkies next year. I think when the next one goes Broody I'm going to have to make a trip up to Lisa or meet her to get some Maran eggs. I need a new batch for next year. My only girl will be 2 this spring, and she doesn't lay very well because she is a special needs girl.
