Utah!

I got my big boy today!! I absolutely love him! And the girls do to, particularly Dixie HAHA. They are all following him around like they are infatuated with him lol. Maybe I shouldn't tell dixie, that I didnt get him for her lol!

Too cute! Oh come on, why not..see what they make together. :) She's looking good! He does look big next to her! Wow.

Iluv, shhh! Don't tell Dixie. Can't you see she's twitterpated and it's the season of love? Haha.

Hey birdman, do you have anything going in your garden yet? Crazy weather. I've got some tomatoes and peppers started in my back room.

Haha No kidding! He's huge! lol. Dixie is just in love lol. I wonder what they'd make? Lol Hmm not purebred paints. Not sure how they'd go selling lol. She is molting (Growing new feathers everywhere) Is that the correct term? So her feet are looking nice and pretty again and her crest filling in :)

I keep forgetting to say - RJ, I will try and get some flock pictures for you. I can only get good pictures with my camera, which uploads to my computer. The problem is that we don't have internet, so usually when I post something, it's coming from my phone. I'll see what I can do, but I need to request your patience.

Red, of course that will be fine… right tool, wrong format happens around here as well. Gives me something to look forward too. That spanking new rooster in the picture above is very nice looking. Looks to be a big bird for the breed, hope he works out well, I just love new chicken treats, be it birds or hardware, just seems to make one feel good.

Best to all and your old/new birds,

RJ

MICE ~

I am seeing the evidence of mice in my big coop… I suppose there is feed for them, grains and such. Do you folks have problems with mice, and if you do, what would you recommend to rid myself of the vermin? Would mouse traps be a problem with the chickens? I am somewhat unsure regarding the method(s) one would or should employ to eradicate the little fellows. If you have experience in this matter, or insight and are willing to share, I would very much like to gain from the collected experience of the kind folks here in the Utah thread.

Is it best to keep your pant legs tied, lest one decides to go up your leg,

RJ
