Utah!

Ace, great job, your set up is coming along so nicely! And that table...you are a man of many talents. Always doing something crafty, love it!

Red, Congrats on the "baker's dozen". Not to be used for baking I hope, wishing you and your bator steady temps throughout!

Cynthia, the partridge and silver are both so pretty. I can only hope mine turn out so cute! Love the peachy color on the front of l'il one.
And Hercules, Babies, are always so fun. That curl looks ohhhh so familiar lol! Love me Herc babies.

RJ--absolutely drop dead gorgeous flock --love all the colors. The Duckwing? Amazing! Love love!

Thank you Lisa, and in honor of Red setting her dirty dozen Viking eggs, I've a picture that I would like to share. It is of my newest and first granddaughter, Larken. We called her Helga prior to getting a proper name. She is Viking all the way and loves Red's birds…

Have a good one,

RJ

I think she is taking a rest right now. Stay tuned!

It seems like there's always a price when I am working on new additions to the flock. This morning I heard a little commotion outside as a chicken went past my bedroom window, but I was half asleep and didn't think much of it. Then I woke up to the turkeys crying near my window. Got up and went outside to see what was wrong, and the entrance to the run was opened a little and most of my birds were out. I was missing two hens and my alpha roo, so I rounded everyone up and went looking in the neighbor's yard. Found the two hens, but no rooster.

I remember hearing a really distant crow earlier and thinking, "Is that one of mine?" So I think he is still somewhere in the neighborhood. I did a brief walk and can't see him. So, as of now, I am down a rooster :(

I'll bet someone's dog came into the yard - again. Seriously? We can't afford a fence around our property yet, which is why we have the run out back. I wish my birds would stop flying out of it and Fido would stop visiting. Grrrrr!
