Utah!

Do you guys remember when I was roistered a c0uple of years ago?  I was so shocked to go out to my coop at  night and there was a black copper maran rooster on the night perch looking at me   It was so funny but no one claimed him.  He ended up with Wendy
oh really? That's kinda funny. I wouldn't mind being roostered:)

I'm sorry to hear that sandy:( I just checked under one of my broodys and some one has been laying in that nest box. Poor girl was sitting in 19 eggs

trying to candle in the sunlight is very tough lol.

Haven't been on in about a week. Red, I just wanted to let you know, I candled the eggs under my broody, and I'm happy to report all the Iccee's are growing well. :) One clear from my group (my rooster is a chicken >.<), and one from my girls that I just can't see what is going on inside. Today is day nine, and it is the only candle I plan on doing.

Hope you're all doing well, and having a great weekend!!

Wendy is still around. She texted me about a month ago to go to lunch but I was at the doctors with my son and an infection at the time. So I was so sad that I couldn't see her. She moved, and only has I think 6-8 girls. She can't have her Roo there. But she said she still has him with a friend and was planning on doing the school hatches, and then some OE and FBCM hatches in the spring. She told me to text her when I was ready to get Maran eggs and she should be able to get me a few.

Ok I have to jump in and tell this adorable story. I have a trio of Old English Game Bantams and I hatched out a few chicks a month ago and have been selling them ever since. Well it came down to the very last little girl left alone with a bunch of bantam orpington chicks. Well a few days ago my nephews serama chicks hatched and he got 2 more than he was wanting to keep so I sold them to a local guy at one day old. He came by and I walked him through the garage hoping to talk him into the last little girl since they would be close in size to the serama's. I warned him that she is a month old and the chicks are only 1 day so they may have to be kept separate. He said he had the set up and fell in love with her so he took her as well. Today I got this picture.

At four weeks old she was pretty sure these babies were hers! She's not even fully feathered yet!
