Utah!

I hope it works! Is it heartburn probs?

I don't get heartburn.

They are thinking Esophagus..will see. Ruling out things with tests. I could have a lot of scarring so I wouldn't feel heartburn anymore. But this isn't just heartburn. I had a bad cough for weeks, could have triggered an Esophagus attack. Mimics heart attacks. Man, they don't feel good. Not a big baby when it comes to pain either. I just thought, if it hurts this bad, I shouldn't ignore it.

I am a chickaholic but I am blaming it on my enabling husband. I say "honey, I want a few chickens. .. and I want them to be able to go out of the coop if the weather is bad" they have a coop big enough for 20 chickens with a 10x20 foot run with a 12 foot tall roof that is entirely predator resistant with a 6x10 area covered by a metal roof so even in crappy weather my chickens are outside dry and safe. My husband could not care less about my chickens. No fodder system yet... just by hand since there are just now only 8 with the 4 new chicks. But I do have a plan to start the meal worm farm next week. ...

The new babies (hatched Thursday) are out and running about - four little black naked necks and a yellow fluff ball!
So cute!!! They look exactly like the little ones I hatched from you! All of mine found awesome homes. I kept one little buff NN. She is so sweet! Truthfully, I've never been a huge NN fan, but this little girl is quickly changing my mind. She is just about the sweetest chick ever!

Thanks! The black one is the Doe. Her name is piper. She is gorgeous. Ollie is the sable point buck. All four of the Marans I got have the same comb at this point. They are still pale though so I'm hoping they are not all Roos. Fingers crossed

Ahh I had the captions backwards. I love HER then lol!

It amazes me with marans....different lines grow out differently, after getting batches from a few different places I see how each batch will vary greatly in how they mature. I had some where the boys would get giant red combs in the first two weeks...then some that hardly looked male clear until 4 months plus. In mine that I've been hatching this Spring, the black boys boys combs seem to show up real fast, yet the blue boys' combs stay small for such a long time I am certain they are girls, and then at 3 months I am seeing some blue males finally show some differences between the females.

If anybody is looking for some really nice little Blue Copper Marans cockerels (and maybe a black or two) from my Roo Tornado, I have several growing out and will be looking for homes for some of them in a month or two. I've kept mostly blue, and as I was saying, won't be positive on those for a bit longer, they mature slowly.

LOL! My daughter and feel the same about NNs but I'm pretty sure once our hatch, our minds will change, too. :)
