Utah!

LOL! My daughter and feel the same about NNs but I'm pretty sure once our hatch, our minds will change, too.

It will. I swore I would never own one. Well, I love them now that I've had them. Have to say, I do prefer the bow tie.

Lisa, that one with the white head looks like it has a silver look on it's chin/neck area. That will be fun to watch.

Thank you all of you!

My Igor is such a sweet boy- lets me hold him and embarrass him in front of his girls. I guess as long as I have him and I let the eggs hatch, I'm going to have NNs.

The one with the silver head piece probably came from my barred rock and is probably a little boy and that's sad because he's an adventurous little bugger for being as young as he is. Guess he takes after his dad. If the little guy is barred he'll be a NN jail bird

Lady, I wouldn't mind having some Iris! Where do you live?

gus..I went to the dr. today. Thank you for asking. :) New night time med. .. I will be getting an Endoscopy. The hospital will have to call me. Being that I went later in the day today I probably won't hear from the hospital until Monday to see when I can schedule. Will probably get ballooned. I am ready for it.. if it will work!
Im in Kearns, Just down from the High Shcool, and you?
I hope the meds help. The frustrating thing about medical care is that it is still the "Practice" of medicine. I hope they find out exactly whats wrong and are able to take care of you quickly & effectively!

Ya'all are scaring me. I know now that I have stepped over the threshold of addiction. I do get into my hobbies, my duck pen is going to be pretty big when its done and I know now, a chicken and maybe a rabbit palace can not be far behind. Then an area for incubating and and and and.....

It is nice to be around fellow addicts.

Are they just super sweet birds? Do you have to give them special care during cold weather since they are lacking feathers?

Actual NN Turkens are considered cold hearty and quite durable. The mixes seem to do just fine in the cold.

I blame Cynthia for my affection for NN, she started hatching showgirls on here and that was it for me. Then the LF NN grew on me, I love them. The only downside for me was they lay tan eggs so I got a NN mix from Sundance that was from her EE frizzled roo and NN turken, and lays blue eggs....lol now I can make NN olive egger babies from that hen and my Marans roo. ...and half are frizzled to boot, Perfect! haha :D Maybe if I keep going back to a Marans roo with them I could get a NN chocolate egger :D
