Utah!

Do you have the dates for these shows? I don't wan't to enter really, but I would like to attend to see the birds. Can you buy at any of them?

How do you enter and show?

Fill out the form and pay the entry fee. (per bird?)
Condition your bird
Show up with it in any cage or a special cage?
How long do they stay at the show? Just the day?

If I was going to attend the show with my kids is one day better than another or are they only 1 day?

Sorry for all the Qs. I would like to show someday, but have no idea how to go about it.

I don't mind the questions at all. If your kids like the chickens you could enter a few in their names as junior exibitors. mike spencer is the President of the Utah Fancy poultry assn. his email is [email protected] He will be able to tell you dates I think the Salt Lake County fair is Aug 11/12 Its easy to show depending on the breed. You bath the bird and blow them dry. At the Utah county fair cages are provided. I like to show. I will be showing my Seramas at the fairs and the poultry show. Yes you can buy birds there. please give me a call if you have any more questions

i got what i think is a first egg from one of my new girls today. kinda has that pullet egg look and is a very light shade of brown, almost white. good size too. they are 16 weeks or so right now :) i think its my barred rock as she squats a lot and has been seen eating oyster shell. but since i did not see it being layed i dont know for sure, it could also be my australorp or my brahma. i guess they were singing more than normal this morning so i think that could also be a sign of a new layer as in my experience that is what they do with a new layer. oh and it was layed in a nest box too. exciting times

bird man..always a plus when they lay in the nest box right off the bat! Exciting .. a new egg!

Congrats we are getting more now too. Increasingly over the last two weeks.

Picture overload..my paint SG is looking really nice. Do believe it's a girl. :)

Below is a splash..going to be very pretty, I have two, need to place one.

She still has pin feathers coming in.

Trying to show she has black on her bottom and on her left leg.

Some black on the front of her left leg.

My pure white girl. I did a real chop job on her eye feathers..she can see better now
though. :D

Well, at least I think she can!

Couldn't get great photos of the splash, but here are a few.

Here is a blue that I will probably place too..looking like a boy with that hair do. Never
know though..too soon yet.

Here is Mister! Sporting his rooster collar. He is getting tall! That's his favorite lady
to try and get, but she will not squat for nothing. Haven't seen him get a girl yet..but tries.
