I don't mind the questions at all. If your kids like the chickens you could enter a few in their names as junior exibitors. mike spencer is the President of the Utah Fancy poultry assn. his email is [email protected] He will be able to tell you dates I think the Salt Lake County fair is Aug 11/12 Its easy to show depending on the breed. You bath the bird and blow them dry. At the Utah county fair cages are provided. I like to show. I will be showing my Seramas at the fairs and the poultry show. Yes you can buy birds there. please give me a call if you have any more questions

I was thinking about this over the weekend and the only chicken I have that is worth showing is in bad feather shape. He is a Marans "headed towards" the SOP, but he was introduced to the flock 2 weeks later than all my RSLs and they picked his legs clean and his tail feathers have taken a beating too. He's the king now, but wasn't always. I'm not sure he's even worth showing, but if he was not so beat up I would at least let my kids get the experience of it. I also have SLW, but they are just a notch above hatchery grade and WAY below SOP. Might need to shoot for next year on the shows.

We have sure learned a lot this year.

Picture overload..my paint SG is looking really nice. Do believe it's a girl.


Below is a splash..going to be very pretty, I have two, need to place one.


She still has pin feathers coming in.

My pure white girl. I did a real chop job on her eye feathers..she can see better now
though.

Here is a blue that I will probably place too..looking like a boy with that hair do. Never

Here is Mister! Sporting his rooster collar. He is getting tall! That's his favorite lady
to try and get, but she will not squat for nothing. Haven't seen him get a girl yet..but tries.

that's going to be a pretty showgirl! and I'm not usually a fan of those! that splash is looking cute n fluffy too!

today would be nice! lol I am sooo uncomfortable and tired right now

I thought last wednesday was going to be the day, as I was up for 2.5 hours early early morning (2:30 am) with 7 and then 5 min contractions, and then they went back to 15 minutes right as we were thinking maaayyybe we should head to the hospital lol! but really nothing since... they have been getting slightly stronger, but nothing consistent since then. and the wind, the wind is crazy here! kicking up a ton of dust... I see some clouds up by provo, and a few over here, but they're moving fast.

Is anyone else getting this wind?  Or had it?  It's like a huge storm is coming, but there are no clouds.   ??   Weird.   Really really windy.

Here we have dark gray skies and wind...acting like it is going to rain, but just a sprinkle at a time. Big wind. Knocked a few things over already I have littles that are new to the big run and they look pretty nervous.

This wind has been going on for a while now. Hits hard, then just blows steady, then really hard. They say, no rain today? Not sure what is going on. Have to go buy another tarp now. It was the newer one too. :/

She is so pretty. This one I have out there right now will
probably look like her too. I think yours is a girl for sure. Hoping the
one out there now is. Will be a while before I can tell for sure.
I love the coloring of these. All of the photos of the silkies and SG
are from the same lady. Man, her eggs are fertile! I get the best hatches
from her.

And oh yes, the baby still has a of today left to get here..today. You sound like you are really getting close, best be careful! Get to that hospital in time. When it's time, I have a feeling you may go fast with all of this stuff going on! Can't wait for baby photos! And, for you to be more comfortable.
