Utah!

Nice score Sidewing… they are some very beautiful birds. I enjoy folks getting 'nice' things, be it birds or gear. A true bird lover, for reasons unknown to me, seems to deprive themselves of the very thing that they enjoy, and is the goal of the whole thing anyway. I very much like it when people step over that line in the 'mind' and achieve a goal. I think we should be kinder to ourselves, and stop being so hard on your own person. Heck there are lots of folks whom will step up and 'wack' you, no need to do it yourself.

So I will be watching for the updates and the successes as you go, a bit of bad luck seems to shadow good, but we hope that these birds are a homerun for you Sidewing. I have a big smile for you today, that might carry over till the morrow.

Best to you and your new birds,

RJ
Thank you RJ! I do feel like I cheated a bit, but in truth I don't know how long it would have taken me to develop a line of birds like this or if I even could have without a great example of what they should be to start with.

I finally did it! It took months, but I ordered a pair of Silver Laced Wyandotte from Jerry Foley. These birds are just amazing. The type and lacing are incredible and they are big and healthy. I hope to improve the stock of SLW in Utah with this pair. These are by far my favorite birds.

Look at all that lacing!

They type is amazing on these healthy birds.
Wow, those are gorgeous. You know, Christmas is coming soon, I think we all want hatching eggs :)

Thanks Red!

wow sidewing those are some stunning birds! congrats! might have to get some chicks from you one day
Thanks!

I'm hoping to get a good set going for spring and then offer up some eggs. It will be a slow start with one pullet, but I would like to get several people raising these genes in Utah so that they will be around if someone looses their flock.

its such a nice thing you are doing bringing these genes into utah. its going to benefit a lot of people i am sure. and the breed is going to benefit from it too for sure. i would make sure you have a few extra before you start selling too many just in case :)
