Utah!

You've got a nice setup! I went to your page, I love the coop. You're lucky, with a fence height like that our chickens would be everywhere. The dominiques and campine are WAY too good of flyers to stay in that. In fact, one of them is named Amelia due to the fact she NEVER stayed in the brooder.

How's it going on the crowing front? I hope for your sake he's not like our neighbors roo. All the chickens are so pretty, but I can see why you are partial to Noah.

What a cute dog too. What kind?

muddypuddles - glad you found us! If you are looking for something easy, I believe waibel zoo bought her coop pre-made, I can't remember where she got it from though.

I am definitely looking for something easy. My chickens are currently living in a converted rabbit hutch but it isn't very secure or sheltered and free range in the yard for a few hours a day. I will keep looking.

He only crows (so far as I've noticed) when I let him out of the coop. Since that's usually between 9 and 11 am, I don't care how much noise he makes, honestly.

My doggie? His name is Chomper and he's a Treeing walker coonhound. I got him from the Salt Lake county animal shelter.

Hello all! Sorry for being so quiet the last 2 weeks or so. We've been on vacation to Seattle and Canada and had a great time.

Today, I'm finally 100% laying production. It’s the first day we found 11 eggs. Yipee! Now we just have to wait until October to see what color the EE "baby girls" are going to lay.

I still have the 3 month Golden Feather membership to give away. We talked about it at chicken stock, but never did resolve it.

Who, who was there, would like it? I've been pretty infrequent around here even before we left on vacation, so someone else could probably put it to better use than I could...

Anyone... anyone...?

Marty

I didn't believe you bootsu, so I had to google a tree walker coonhound. I thought it was a breed you made up. We nicknamed my mom's mutt from the pound a "wasatch crap eater". Chomper is a cutie. He looks like he loves his life. What's the history of the breed, I've never heard of it. I love the video of Kellogg crowing, he is definitely very proud of himself.

Marty - I thought we HAD decided about the membership, I thought it was yours. Maybe Brenda wants it? I don't post a WHOLE lot of pictures nor pm a lot. Maybe she does with all the hatching/incubating she's been doing lately. Congrats on them all laying. You might be waiting a while on the EEs though. I've heard some of them take their time when it comes to beginning to lay.

RE: Treeing Walker Coonhound - I really don't know much about the breed or the breed's history. I'd end up googling it too, so you know as much as I do. I thought he was just a mut of a hound until the vet tech at Willow Creek Pet Center asked me if she could take pictures of him for a dog breed book she was working on. She said he was a VERY good representation of his breed.

Now that I've got him, I have a feeling every dog I have from here on out will have to have a tri-color head (brown, black, white) because I LOVE the coloring. Such a great face to look at, very expressive.
