I’m a crazy duck lady! We just dedraked our flock (all but 1) so I am down to 3 for the moment. 2 pekins and 1 khaki campbell. Here’s a pic of the pekins, Swiss and big momma.

I have 8 welsh harlequin eggs in the incubator, but they aren’t lookin so good on day 6

We had some chickens when we first started out but I have some weird chicken fear they terrify me and I’m not just talking the roosters, the ladies too!

Ok so this is a dumb question but why do people keep quail? For eggs, pets, meat or what??

How many/what kind of birds do y'all have ?

We've just started, but we have 2 leghorns (14 wks), 2 barred rocks (13 wks) and 3 brahmas (about 2yrs)

When we had chickens the barred rock was the only one I loved! She was so sweet and friendly.

Where about in EM are you? We used to live in city center.

We are near Nolan Park. We love it out here. Why did you leave city center?

The barred rocks were kind of a mistake initially: we had asked for Americana, but didn't know the difference in baby chicks. We love them and wouldn't trade them now. Americana are on our list to be added next year now.
