Utah!

doing good here, I am just worried about the one that is trying..it's been at it all day, it seems that the membrane may be too tough, can't tell for sure, but also seems the baby is in there different?

For sure the one still in the egg looks different.

They're all supposed to be golden laced wyandottes, but the one that's out sure doesn't look like it to me.

Here's what a GLW chick is supposed to be:

Here's chick #1 soon after it came out. Doesn't this look like a single comb?

And here's a shot I took a couple minutes ago.

My auction was for 9+ GLW. I wonder if the three bonus chicks were something else, and this little guy was one of those? Or maybe I'm totally wrong, and it'll look different when it's all fluffed up.

Yes, aren't they supposed to be single..I don't know about the Goldens..I know that SLW are rose comb is it?

Yep, supposed to be rose comb. As long as I get ONE GLW hen out of the deal, I'm pleased with whatever I get.

As for positioning, yes, they definitely are- chick #1 pipped at the small side of the egg. This one pipped at the big end. The second one seems to want to try and HULK SMASH her way out instead of zipping along.

Still not out? I am one that would be helping now. That's me. I would just squeeze the two sides, pop it good, and then let it do the rest. Worried about crooked toes, or bad legs. There are a lot that would really disagree, but I've saved many a chick, and it was fine with helping.
How many others are pipped?

Yes, that egg has been springing back like a rubber band for a real long time. The baby hasn't done any more rotating.
