Hey Brad, here are some pictures of your pencil rock. Starting to get the penciling in real nice.
Check it out. You can see someone taking a picture of a chick in the mirror, and she's wearing her grungy go out to feed and water the chickens jacket on, with the hood on..it was windy cold when I went out this morning. Now, it's warm. And later, it's supposed to snow. Utah weather!
Have to add, she will change in pattern more and more as she gets all of her feathers. I really like the pencils, I'm thinking I really like all of the rocks. My Barred, is so sweet, and she is getting big now, and squatting. Any day now, crossing fingers she lays in a box first time.

Hope ya'll are doing well. I'm way behind on reading posts. The good news is all those EEs of mine that were brown layers are starting to lay, and starting to lay green and blue/green! Actually, one is quite blue. Yeah!! So I've got the "pretty eggs" I've been wanting. Just need to decide if I want the work and order meat chickens plus a few more layers. Would have like the lavs but oh well...stuff happens for a reason I guess.

thank you so much for the pictures and everything! she is so cute! are you keeping one for you? i am so excited if you cant tell. and with her blood lines she will not burn out so fast like birds from a hatchery so that will be very good. do you know about how old she is? i cant wait till she fully feathers up. she is one beautiful bird

They are just over 4 weeks old. Yes, I have one too. We will be comparing pictures of our Penciled Rock chickens! I'm glad you like her. They are pretty now, but they will get prettier!

Oh good, you are getting colored eggs! I'm so happy for you. Meat birds ey? They get big fast, and fat fast! lol.. Who will process them? Hope you have a biiiiig..freezer! How neat will that be? A lot of chicken in the freezer.

Had the best visit with Cynthia. Red Lobster parking lot....sorry about the garlic breath Cynthia lol!! So I pick up my two, then Cynthia is showing me what hatched yesterday morning, OMG, there is gonna be a cute chickie fest right here when you see these pics. There was no way I could say no to a couple of these. What about those muffs holy cow?
That is the fattest chickie face I have ever seen. They are adorable....thanks so much Cynthia! Sphinx I do wish you could have been there too We will have to have a chicken lady get together

How are they this morning? My little fluffy one that I took back was quite stressed by the time we got home...stopped at Smith's in Provo. Up and about better this morning. There are two others that I didn't bring because you say you aren't sure about having the normal chipmunk look, they are red ones, but one looks like it has a tiger face..and lots of puffy cheeks! A couple of them are still belly walking and sitting on their butts. Up more though. I will have to get pictures later of those also, because they are pretty too. The colors are amazing on them, then the fluffys...

They are doing great...that fat little one was on his butt feet out front last night but walking around pretty good today. My lavs are picking on them a bit so I moved them. I still cannot believe how cute they are. I really could not resist.....with a face like that? Sheesh....green egg or no I had to have a couple. Good thing you did not bring them all. You are very smart to keep a few at home lol! You gotta lock them up and get them away from me when they are that cute

so cute! so i now have a home lined up for my two leghorns, they will be going to a very good friend that i do parrot rescue with, she has a bunch of chickens and kinda has a ranch. she just has to build a run first. so along with the pencil rock

that cynthia is being so nice and selling me i can get another chicken

, not sure what breed yet but it will be a brown egg layer i think. maybe a buff orp. i am just trying to keep my numbers at 12, i can fit a few more than that but 12 is a good number
