I think someone already mentioned this..did you try and ask on ksl? Just enter a question, instead of just looking for them..ask if anyone has the pure RIR..not sex link eggs!

Hey all...got my pretty eggs from that gal that has the puffiest chickens in the world today! I'm going to have wait three weeks to see those little puffy cheeks again. I hope I get more of the dark than the red. I am pretty sure the tiger face I kept is a girl..already. You never know, but that tail is out already, and those cheeks are still puffy..and, thinking the dark one I have is a girl..sorry Lisa..I had said, I wasn't sure because of how tight the wing tips were, but they were still so young. Practically just hatched. How are yours doing? I am loving the color of the wings that are coming out.
I have a busy late morning..getting ready to go get my new prescription glasses..actually my sunglasses. Went for them last week, and the prescription was wrong. Man I hope they are right today. If so I leave my clear ones with them. I guess I'll be in sunglasses for a while, in the house too. I have to wear them everywhere else anyway, so won't be to bad waiting.

Brad. I had that gal bring down one of her Pencils that she is real sure of being a girl because she has some others that have huge combs, so is pretty sure it is a girl. I just wanted to make sure. So, this one looks just like the one that I put a picture up of. My other one, the one I was going to keep for myself is the one with the larger comb and feet. I am giving that one back to her. She was on her way to St. George and brought me the other girl. So now, pretty sure I have two girls. Going to post pics later of my buff babies. I got 9. I wasn't sure two were going to make it, but they got stronger through the night. I put them in a different bin so the others wouldn't stomp on them. They just wanted to sleep at first, now they are up and eating! Back with their buddies.

Chicks are doing great! The striped fattest one (came from the green egg of course lol)looks more female to me---I think my brown one from the blue egg might be a boy but not sure. Wing feathers are beautiful on both, but the brown ones are coming in slower, smaller tail and bigger feet. This one also behaves differently..just starting to make me think boy. The little ameraucana---something makes me guess boy on that one too. Something about the way he acts, much like the bigger lav that I think is a boy....still too little to know for sure though. Feathers fit the pictures and descriptions I have seen for boy--no tail yet....comb coming up awfully fast..The Australorp, still seems female. That one is all feathered in but her bead. Just guessing here. My lavs-almost positive the bigger one is a boy. So of the 6 I am guessing 3 girls 3 boys is but I am pretty new at this so I probably have it all backwards haha! Will keep you posted. Good luck with the Eye doc!!

Cynthia when those babies hatch You have to post pictures! They are the fattest puffiest cutest little things in the world. It makes me sad everyday to see these guys get bigger. I love them!

Lisa, your small lav is not allowed to be a boy. If that's the case, then I'm sure both of mine are boys. We each have to have at least one pullet, I call!! My bigger lav's comb is starting to turn a little pink. I feel pretty confident it's a boy. The other still seems like a girl to me.

Think I should give up being a highly successful Realtor and take up chicken photography? Sounds a lot less complicated. LOL

Welcome, Pearl! If you want RIR, I would wait a bit, and then see who is selling RIR chicks on KSL, and then offer to buy eggs. Red, I had no idea that WVC didn't allow chickens. Good luck with your fight. With so many cities allowing it, I think it's getting easier.

Cynthia, what a pain with your glasses. Hope they get it right this time! I wear contacts and have glasses for backup. My kids were messing with them, and I need to get them adjusted, but just haven't had time.

My elderly washer died this week. I picked out a new one, but it won't be in til next week. -sigh-

Oh Sphinx I scared ya did I? lol.....the small lav still looks like a girl.....there is a little teeny Ameraucana that CYnthia hatched later (the sis/brother of her tiny black one from the hatch that was only 3)--it is a blue or splash maybe...I just got it last week, that one looks boyish so of my new chicks, I have 2 lav Ameraucana, 1 blue or splash Ameraucana, 1 BA, 2 EE. I think 1 lav is a girl, the BA is a girl, and maybe one EE. hoping for more, but this is my guess for this week lol..... My bigger lav's comb is a little pinker than the smaller one too.

Hang in there waiting for your washer. That would be awful! I get behind in one day, let alone a week

Wendy, no washer??! Big gasp here. I worry about that with any appliances..lol..we are spoiled today. Not sure I would like cooking over a fireplace now..kettle over fire..but only because I'm used to the way things are I suppose.

There is some tail coming out on this one, I called it tiger face because of the coloring and stripes in it's face. They change so fast. So, what do you think..too soon to say boy or girl, but I think girls so far.

sounds good! i am happy you are making sure you have a girl. those little buffs are so cute! if you have one that you are fairly sure is a girl and if it feathers out so it can be in my non heated coop i will buy one if you have an extra. i am so excited for the pencil rock. you will have to let me know when she out stays her welcome
