Brad, you wanted to see pictures of my Silkies? Glad I took picutres last night..they are all sold but one..
Man, I need more chicks! Can you believe that I don't have enough chicks? I have had the phone ringing off the hook. There was supposed to be a lady show up at 10..no show...so, I sold some to another lady, have the rest spoken for..then, her husband just calls about 15 mins. ago. I said, sorry, she didn't show, and I didn't hear from her..soo..they are gone. They are speaking for first pick on the next to hatch not this Wed, but next. People like those Silkies! And they love the blue and splash Ameraucanas, and I am very surprised..a bit, that they like the cochins too. These cochins are adorable. I'm keeping a splash.
Here's a pic. of the Silkies..
They have little cone heads..and I don't mean just puff, but their skulls are shaped like cone heads..lol..then the fluff fills in..they were still not all fluffed up in these pics.

We just had rain, a thunderstorm, snow, and now blue sky. I took pity on my 5 week chicks and brought them back in the house. They'll have to go back out tonight to make room for my Sandhill chicks tomorrow. I'll be posting pics and shamelessly trying to pawn some off on you all later this week.

Ha, nobody tell my hubby that they can be outdoors at 5 weeks! I intend to keep my babies inside for as long as possible, I need that deadline extension to finish the coop! Lol.

Ha, nobody tell my hubby that they can be outdoors at 5 weeks! I intend to keep my babies inside for as long as possible, I need that deadline extension to finish the coop! Lol.

Are you building a large coop? How many chickens can you have. I'm sorry to say, if I had no limit, I would have waaay too many chickens, and would be having my hubby building a barn for them all..lol.

She would be staying in West Valley with my mom, so I can't have a bird that would take it on himself to make sure that the neighbors are up at 5 am. Not that I don't appreciate the thought.

I'm actually renovating part a shed that came with our home. It'll be crazy easy, just installing a few roosts and a wall down the middle of it. Oh, and the run. I just put it off so that I could get my garden started! Too much to do!
I just have four chicks at this point. I figure I can at least house eight with my current set up, but we're flying under the radar with our girls so less is probably better Browsing this website makes me want more though, ESPECIALLY those pics of your silkies. So stinking cute! Maybe I can renovate the house as a chicken coop and we can go live in the shed....

LOL..Why didn't I think of that??! I better let my hubby know. All I need out in the shed, is, a comfortable couch, of course a bed, and oh, can't forget the computer.
