Okay, now that I've got that out of my system - I truly, honestly, would not be bothered if I didn't get a blue Amer. from ya. I just want an Amer!

I would happily take a splash or a black - in fact, I'd kind of prefer black. Just so long as either you or I could pick out one that looks girly.

Fun! That will be Awesome
So I went out to the coop. I found this really weird egg. It is long and really skinny and it is brown with a big white spot on one side. I have 5 laying, then my blacks due to lay anyday ( but olive or green or blue or dark brown...) and the rest are teenagers.

So what it this weird egg about? The rest of my girls have laid today. So it would have to be my Ameraucana/ FBCM cross black chickens......it was on the floor of the coop, not in a nest. the pics do not really show how long and skinny it is but you can see the weirdish spot. I am baffled......

You say you have a FBCM ready to lay..I would guess that would be it. How old is the pullet..umm hen now? Congrats on a new egg. Now, to get her to lay in the boxes!

Cynthia--Those are the blacks I got from you----Shirlee---the EE's that were from a blue egg with the FBCM daddy. How weird is that?? The only other thing I can think of is maybe one of my older girls laid two today and this was a drop on the floor job because it is so skinny.....but I have never had a chicken lay two eggs in one day, except my white EE on her very first day she laid one little the size of a nickel then another more normal one right after.

Weird egg things going on out there---I wish I would have had the camera on and watched what the deal was out there! That is a really strange egg.
