Utah!

Ok so here is the list for Chickenstock, make sure I have everything!
Red---2 Icelandic chicks from Birdguy
Donna---look for good stock Welsummers, may want a mating pair, and look for Isbars---call/text pics first
Cindy--Blue Wheaten Ameraucans pullet/chick about 8 weeks old
Sasha--Blue Wheaten Ameraucana pullet/chick about 8 weeks old, maybe some other fun things

Lisa--- Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Pullets (2) 4 months old, Marans chicks if good dark egg layers..., hopefully I will pick up a huge box of self control
so nothing else comes home with me.
Is that right? Seems like I am forgetting something. Let me know if there is anything else to watch for.
If you find some good dark egg marans, I am still interested...Probably a good thing I am not going, I am not sure I would have much self control at this point. LOL

K I will call you from up there if we see any :) Sounds iffy, the two breeders I was wanting to get them from are absent, but maybe somebody else will have some nice ones :) There is somebody in Wyoming I might get eggs from too if this does not work out :)

How pathetic is this---I am working so much and so dang busy that I can't even get enough time to call back the people who have called looking for my BLRW chicks?! And yes, I am at work AGAIN!

And on a more ridiculous note, I actually set 16 of the eggs my roommates brought down yesterday. Sheesh, that incubator is seriously going to be my downfall!

I'm right there with you! I already have my next month or two planned for my incubator. If I don't find some fun things to incubate at chickenstock, I'm going to order more eggs. Yes, shipped eggs, but I've been researching this person and there is TONS of good feedback on her shipped eggs. (luckypickens) She has some awesome varieties of bantam cochins.

Who am I kidding? Even if I do bring back some eggs from chickenstock, I'll probably still order eggs from her.

All together now.... *groan*

See, I have to admit I'd love to hatch out another batch of BCM, but I've decided this next batch that I'm doing at the school starting next week will be my last for the year. And since BCM are notoriously tricky, I don't want to do that for a school hatch.

I agree on that! I really want to get more eggs, but am not wanting to spend three weeks doing that again to be disappointed. I have my heart set on the ones I like....so may just wait until next spring and buy the chicks from her to spare myself the heartache :) let her do the hard part---she must have it figured out.

I have Donna's 22 in the bator now, and I am bringing back a dozen gorgeous blue eggs to set. I will consider being done then :)

Sasha, I am excited too, I hope it is fun. Not a lot have responded on the chickenstock thread so I hope the advertising in the paper will attract some people. If anything I am psyched to meet some fellow chicken fanatics.

Donna, we should have secretly bet on whether you would set those eggs. I knew you would lol! Crazy chicken lady, I love it :)
