Good grief, you folks are prolific posters today! I am so dang jealous that I can't go to Chickenstock!

It just ain't fair! (whine, whine, whine!) Stupid work! Don't they know how important chickens are?? I will be expecting you to text me pics of nice looking birds, Lisa. And I just thought of something---if there does end up being birds or eggs there I want, how the heck am I going to get them paid for long-distance so they can come back in your Chicken Shuttle (tm)?

(sigh) I have to go do my Insanity Workout now, before I go to work (yep, again. and again, and again...). That is one killer workout, lemmetellya. I keep waiting for my kids to call an ambulance while I'm doing it, since I am quite certain I look like I am going to stroke or have a heart attack everytime I do it, but the little buggers just let me do it all, not even thinking to save me from my own folly. You'd think your kids would have more sympathy while watching their mother turning purple in the face and gasping for air like a dying guppy, but no, they just periodically shout, "DIG DEEPER, MOM!" Dig this, you little yard monkeys. So there.

Aw, Sphinx, Dolphin is one cute little baby and that's a very nice picture! How many made it to lockdown? And, Lisa, your pics are adorable! I agree, you should keep that one with the baby peeking under the other's wing for some kind of contest--that's a perfect shot. I need to get a real camera sometime--maybe then I'll get some decent pics of my birds!

Yes Lisa, I'm very, very tempted to try and breed Icelandics. I know Cynthia had expressed interest in the eggs at one point in time, and they're not a breed you commonly see around here. Of course, that would mean I have to build them their own pen........oh man........I also would love just having one or two in the flock, if I happen to get all girls. I love the variety of the breed and their characteristics.

And here I was riding you about chicken math.

In other news, I'm hoping to get my hands on a nailgun, possibly as soon as this weekend. Once I've got one, I can finish framing that run out back. The teens are getting so big and they really need to be moved out there. And I need to have one less thing stressing me, lol.

the Icelandics are fun.. you'll get hooked!! If you breed them you must keep them pure though... They are endangered and you wouldn't want to introduce any outside genes... did you know that their genetic makeup is significantly different from all your other chickens.. can't remember the exact % but seems like it was 68% different..

Does anybody want a mixed breed bantam hen? She's a very skittish chicken and would do better free range. I get a few white eggs from her once in a while only $5 please PM me, She's golden laced-ish but is cute

All I know is I am going---Sasha is riding with me, we are bringing back all the goodies.....yes I am getting 1 dozen eggs, random chickens for a few people.----I can call you if I see any cream legbar eggs. I am not staying overnight, I can't--- due to having to bring back live animals I don't dare spend the night. Let me know if you want me to look for anything else for you
