I just saw them, too! (Well, if you're referring to the ones in Mendon). I appreciate you always giving me a heads-up, you're always on top of the Muscovy ads, lol.
Thanks for the heads up!

I bet your welshies are gonna be gorgeous!
I'm the daughter, my runner is the one in question. If you're interested I could post some recent pictures? he/she is pretty friendly, a little flighty but I think that comes with the breed...
that darn coon*jams fingers in ears and hums loudly*
Dang, I'm gone for a couple of days, and this thread explodes! You guys are having too much fun talking about chicks and ducks and goats and trading..............wow.
Welcome to our newcomers! Just to warn you, we're nuts on this thread, but once we've infected you, you'll fit right inWe have a lot of fun here, and the more, the merrier.
Sphinx, I'm glad you got that partridge. She's very pretty!
Cynthia, since my boyfriend has turkeys, I can tell you that they still make cute noises when they're a bit olderBut man, they are LOUD! The pair he has are almost as big as my biggest chicks, which are 3-4 months old. The boyfriend thinks they are both girls, just by looking at their faces and necks. They're sure sweet. We can still get the bigger one to fall asleep in our hands.
Sasha, guess what? Those two little Icelandics you and Lisa transported for me are doing great! We noticed that Sven's (the one that had pasty bum) wings were drooping quite a bit, so I gave them some vitamins. When that didn't do anything, I took them off the vits and gave them some medicated feed for a few days. That did the trick! Sven is catching up with Gerti now in growth rate, and he's getting so energetic. His wings don't droop and he's getting leggier. I'm so happy to have these two. Thanks again Sasha, Lisa, and Birdguy (I feel kind of funny not knowing your name, but knowing theirs, lol)
So, I don't know why I even bother reporting on this any more, but that raccoon showed up again and took one of the cockerels I got from Sphinx. I wonder if we're going to see more of it now that it's wiped out the neighbor's flock? We're still trying methods to catch it. I am very eager to get my hands on that thing and make me a new hatMy EE roo is now in the penitentiary run with my Marans and her babies (he was getting grumpy without his woman) and we're keeping a close eye on the two remaining cockerels. The one that got eaten was the one that looked the closest to an actual GLW. The two remaining boys are very obviously muttskies. Oh, and I got a better look at the three chicks yesterday. Lisa, you were right, one of those barred ones is a boy, but I can't tell if it was the original one I thought was a girl or not. The other barred chick and the black chickie both look like girls so far. They've sure got a good mama. I watched her call the chicks into the coop last night, then get out and check the perimeter to make sure everything was okay before she got inside with them.
Why am I still awake? My pillow is going to beat me if I keep coming home late like this. Bah.
I'm getting them from a breeder down in Georgia... trading for some Black Spanish turkey poults.ah! I'm hatching out Anconas in about a month! how exciting, where did you get yours?
Want another wether or 2? I have 3 bucklings left 2 full nubians and one 1/2 nubian 1/2 saanen..@thebirdguy: Thanks for the "Welcome." There are 2 wethers and a doeling. One wether is 3/4 Saanen 1/4 Nubian, and the other two are twins, half Saanen and half Nubian. I have to say, I do like people from CV, but I have liked just about everyone I ever met from Idaho, and St George. Idahoans are the best!
I haven't had any problems with my runner. Actually he (I think it's a he but not sure yet) comes running for me when I go out to the duck pen, and call his name. He's sharing a pen with my Ancona Drake right now, while my female whose only a month old is staying seperate from the other two-she's a little small to deal with the bigger ones yet. I'm trying to rehome him because I have a limit on how many I am allowed to keep, and the runner isn't my favorite ( i bought it thinking it was a khaki campbell) I probably would've sold it sooner, but didn't want to leave my Ancona alone for so long.I'll have to post pictures of the Welshies soon, I'm not on top of all this picture/forum business, haha. I was just curious as to the reason you're looking to relocate the runner. You're absolutely correct though, runners seem to, well, run, LOL. Anyway I was curious as to if there was a problem, or if you wanted to make room for different ones, or what not.
