Utah!

humm, maybe it is a cockerel, and it will end up looking close to this..your chicken in this picture came from this breeder.

Pretty sure shes a hen, She does have a bit of tail. The black one is in the picture also hubby is holding her. she has no tail, Hubby bought me an incubator so I bought some more eggs. On first candle 2 were bad. When I get back from Seattle I'll candle again. I also have some sizzle eggs and some frizzle polish will be interesting to see how I do. They were the eggs that were stuck at the post office over memorial day because I hurt my hand and was in the ER getting stitched up and bones set. What kind of incubator do you use? Hubby bought mine at IFA. Had too many eggs for 1 so Cristy from Shadowbrook loaned me another one

How funny the lavender shows up at Sundance's! We have lots of sisters from that hatch on here :) Cynthia you know I am dying over the leghorn/lav chicks, and the prospect of giant blue eggs being laid prolifically all over the place. Visions of eggs dancing through my head haha. I have sworn no more for this year so why did you have to get these at the end, huh!!! Really tempting me. BUT I will be a good girl and stick to the ones I have. For now. Til you post pictures. :p

Me too I see blue eggs all over the coop and in the snow

Yaaa!!!! We are wearing the same rose colored glasses girl!! Eggs busting out the coop door there are so many!! Cynthia you are torturing us.
Ack!!! Cynthia, how dare you!!! Too bad chickens aren't like credit cards, that come with a limit=) lol!! Big blue eggs?!?!?!?!? Yikes I should not be reading this thread anymore, lol...

Sundan... that story about the sprinkler is too funny, and LOVE that pic of the Mille Fluer, what at pretty bird... makes me want one of those, too=)

Today I took the little babies outside, the Ameraucanas and the Delaware chickies, they loved it!! The teenagers we take outside to a small pen all day usually anyway, it's funny to watch them try to fly all over the place when we put them in there after being in the garage all night...

And that AWFUL frost!!! SHEESH!! Lost half my peppers and a few tomatoes.... despite the WOW's and turning on the sprinklers, makes me grumpy...... BUT, I didn't lose any chickens=)

I went back to see that Auracana again.  Beautiful.  I wondered how that full fluff would end up looking.  How is the dark one with the real long feathers out the side looking?  Would love to see a picture of that one.  Are they both girls?  I did good ey?
If you are wanting Silkies, I have some of those hatching soon, and also after candling, I am down to only 4 showgirls.  :(   I only want to keep one more.  I have a cutie outside.  It's white.  I would like a different color, and I have decided it needs to be a girl!  :p  I'll keep you first in line for a showgirl if I get them all to hatch!

That's too funny about that pink. I remember commenting on your cute coop..and the colors.  I wonder if there is something that will take that off...we should ask BRAD...  Where are you?

How is that kitten's eye that you took to the vet?  Hope it is getting better.
hmmmm what kind of paint is it?

Sundance, I don't usually go for the Sphinx breed, but that first picture of your calico is beautiful! They all look sweet.

Cynthia, you go girl. I can never rock the long hair look without it getting scraggly and thin. And for some reason, my hair stops growing when it's just longer than hip level. I guess I never have to worry about it falling in the toilet.................I wish I had a picture of me fishing to share, but I usually shy away from being in photos, and I haven't caught anything for a while, anyway.

Lisa, don't feel too bad. She already talked me into getting one of her Welsummer chicks (yeah, really took a lot of arm twisting there) BUT! the new little Wellie is for my mom, not me. Confounded chicken math!!!

Cynthia - Fun to see a pic of you as a kid! Congrats on your Leghorn cross hatch! Of all my eggs they have been the most difficult to hatch. I know they run the fastest from the roo.

hmmmm what kind of paint is it?

paint is exterior latex. What would happen if I pulled out the feathers? Would they grow back? Would it hurt the chickens? When I get back from seattle hubby and I are going to start building another coop. a 4x8 The goal is to make it easier for this old soul to keep things clean, Lots of doors. I think I'm going to paint it purple lime green and pink. The other coop will be for sale.
