edut, because I feel guilty after writing it! It doesn't hurt to go look at chicks, especially if you know what to look for health wise.

Don't feel guility you were just telling your experiences. I liked buying chickens from her because they are all pullets and I can't have roosters

Another thing. on KSL there is an add for pullet chicks in Taylorsville, I went to see them as she lives really close to me, She has an incubator in her garage, She says everything she hatches is pulletts. I asked her what happened if she tells people that and they end up Roosters, She says oh I'll take them back. She keeps the onse she sells and says she will keep them for 4 weeks until they are coop ready in a dog crate in her garage. She has 7 kids and another one on the way so she does this for extra money, I was not thrilled at the conditions

Sphinx, corralling them would work best to get rid of the thistles, but be warned, if it's where you have grass, there's a good chance they'll try to demolish the grass, too. Mine kill everything I park them on. It's a total unintended bonus for my dear mother, who now has that much less yard work to do

That's cool that you guys have eggs that match your walls. Would it be cheating if I painted my room white and then got some white egg layers?

Got to go see Brad today (birdman) He's got some sweet girls out in the run. One of them laid an egg while I was there and started to sing the egg song. I haven't heard that sound in a while, so I thought it was great, but poor Brad was trying to shush her so that the neighbors wouldn't get irritated. She was kinda loud. It was fun, for sure. And I got me some new plants while there! Woohoo! Thanks again, birdman.

yup for sure you have chickens on the Head, oops brain. What kind of plants. I'm surprised you didn't come home with chickens, I wish someone would breed a noiseless rooster. They can breed all kind of feathers colors nakeds, small large etc. Why can someone breed a crowless rooster

Oh sundance..I'm so with you there..they need to think of some way. Can you imagine how many people would be sooo not ok with that? lol..a rooster that doesn't crow. I would take any rooster that didn't crow. It would be fun to have one, they are just beautiful, and I could have my own fertile eggs.
