Utah!

Red, she is getting some pretty colors in there. I am not familiar with the nasal area on those. Do they all have the wide nasal? I keep thinking of my Ameraucanas and EE's.

Scott, Wheat is great for the chickens. It's great for them. :) Just use it like you would as scratch though. They need the lay mash if they are laying. Don't use it as a complete diet.

Cynthia, I'm still learning about this breed, too, but they can have all different comb types. I have seen some combs that I'm not even sure there is a name for, such as the one on my cockerel, Sven. I don't even know how to describe it accurately. Goosebumps. Lengthening goosebumps. A sea anemone

Very nice, Red.

Your sex link looks a lot like my Shirley, a mutt of unknown origins. I have no idea what breed he/she is, except that it hatched from a medium brown egg. Here he/she is for comparison.

Hi everyone!
As usual, been crazy-busy today. Well, since the ducklings hatched. :) The 7 of them are doing GREAT. We may have a home for 3 of them.
Chiko, do you still want a couple ducks? We have sexed female Welsh Harlequins and Buffs, and a very sweet Welsh Harlequin boy. They are currently 3 weeks old.
I got to meet Auntie Hattie today! What a pleasure it was to meet her.

She brought 4 Polish babies with her, 2 for me and 2 for Lisa. They are just as cute as they can be. The two pictured below are Lisa's.

Oh, how did this picture get in here?

I'm on the left, Jill (Hattie) on the right. We were looking RIGHT into the sun when Howard (TeeRex) took the pic. Oofda, that was bright!

This is cute-look at the size difference of just 3 weeks!
We decided that the 4 new Polish needed their own brooder since the size difference was so great. It made me nervous, even though the bigger Polish didn't pick on the babies.

Red-I love your Icee girl! Very pretty.

Lisa I can't see any frizzleing yet but we should know in another week.
Daloorashens I'd love to be at my sisters when you go over to her house. I love talking chickens. Do you still have my number? Let me know when you will be planning on going. I'll be here all week helping take care of my mother.
Sphinx I missed getting in touch with you today. I had a late start getting away from St. George. I didn't get away until noon. I hit all kinds of bad traffic. Not fun when you have 9 hours of driving to do. I'd still love to meet up with you maybe on my way back?
It was so fun meeting Sasha and TRex this evening. It was fun getting to know you both better. There never is enough time to talk but then I'm a talker! I still think we should plan a fun meet up somewhere for everyone on this thread. There are some wonderful people on here! Sasha hope the little chickies are doing good. Let me know how they adjust to their new home. I'm missing their little chirps and fuzzy topped heads.

Sasha, Hattie, glad you guys met up successfully and had fun! We've sure got a good looking bunch on this thread, haven't we?

Sphinx, your Shirley is very pretty! She does look like she has some BSL or something in her, doesn't she? Or possibly some Barnevelder?

So I noticed today that my gray EE, Serah, has started doing this little happy dance when I'm putting feed in the girls' run for the night. I just happened to look down while I was walking and saw her right by me doing these little hops and circles. I love having chickens here with me.

Oh my goodness Sasha your other Polish have grown so much! I love them and how cute is the little new one next to the bigger ones! Polish have so much character. Just look at those posses. ;)

I totally agree with having a fun meetup for us Utah BYCers. :) I suppose the Idaho BYCers could come too.

The chickies are doing really good Auntie. They cried just a little when we got home, but they have all been eating and drinking nicely.

haha, Yes, I think we do have a nice looking bunch, Red! Next time, I'll have to make sure Howard gets his picture taken, too....not that I'm biased or anything. ;)

Isn't it amazing how fast our feathered friends grow? I'll have to take better pics of the older Polish chicks soon. This blue cuckoo is getting gorgeous!

Hattie, I totally understand how the travel day can get away from you. When are you coming back through? You make yourself out to be an old woman, but you are very young and pretty!

Those polish chicks are awfully adorable!

Red, I think there may have been some barnevelder in the breeder's flock. She never has anything as pedestrian as black sex link (ha ha), everything she has is pretty unique and exotic.
