so i went out to the coop and heard an egg song and it was not in any of the other girls voices so right then i knew the silver pencil rock layed her first egg! its a light brown, like a creamy brown so cynthia its your girls turn

I watched a youtube video today of 5 week old coronation sussex chicks,which is the same age as my little coronation. I was wondering if Chloe was a boy, but after seeing that video, I'm 100% convinced she's a girl.

My new polish chicks still have zero wattles, so I think that's looking good there too.

What? My girl hasn't been checking the nest boxes..that I know of. Maybe that's what that other small brown egg is..because the NH has laid bigger ones, then this one today again was small...I'm confused! All I know for sure is the big one I saw the NH get off of after being in the box for a while, and, the SS yesterday, it's a lighter egg, which I found out is what they lay. My Pencil is getting more red!!

If it makes you feel better, none of my girls seem interested in laying yet. A couple of them are getting red. I guess they just like to torture me or something

It looks to be about 7' or 8'. What do you think - too subtle for the front yard?

The boyfriend suggested that I need a pair of them to flank the front sidewalk

HI Everyone! Just a quick note then we're off and running.
We picked up Howard's 20 year old daughter from the airport late on the 4th, and dragged her all over Cache valley yesterday. Today we're all headed down to Richfield for the Trexler Family reunion this weekend. We'll be meeting up with Cynthia on Sunday, and Red, I need to get with you, too! I'll have a special delivery for ya.
We were going to do Mt. Timpanogous (sp?) cave today, but as of yesterday, American Fork Canyon was closed. I'll call again this morning on our way through, but I'm not too hopeful it'll be reopened already. The rain yesterday was sure great, though!
We are also stopping at a farm in Kaysville on our way through today. Rocco, the Polish roo, has a new home, so we'll drop him off there. Yippy!

Our black cuckoo polish we got from Lisa (who got him from Auntie Hattie) looks VERY roo-ish today. Man! I already have a baby polish I think is a roo, and I was going to get the frizzle polish from Lisa if it's a roo....got some thinking to do.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend!
