That is what good friends are for ....lol I do not know where that dream came from, it was pretty funny :D

Sundance, they sound cute! Sounds like she had a hatchery order...I will think on it and let you know. Trying to stick with SQ birds right now so my son can show them, the black one will be his :)Please little black baby in my brooder be a girl!

If BluJems doesn't want my BWA/takes Lisa's instead, she'll be all yours, Daloorashens. :) She'll be a year old in early spring so in her prime. Perfect!

I will be going to Orem next week and can get some from Mariahs quilts for you. I am shipping a couple of cats to Japan and China so need to get health certificates at my friend who is a vet in Orem. I think one of my sizzles has a broken wing so I;m going to have her wrap it,

Thanks, Cindy. :) If you're willing to wait until the spring, I'm going to give up my blue wheaten Ameraucana, and go a different direction with my flock. (All bantam)
One or the other....I am not in a hurry so I can wait and figure things out later. Right now I only have 4 adult hens plus the roosters. The little ones are all in with the old english...I am thinking I don't want more than 12 adults in the coop.
Blujems, I also may rehome a couple.....I have 5 wheaten/blue wheatens......3 BWA from azriel and 2 WA from pawtraitart, I may give up one of each, but I want to see the eggs first lol You get first dibs if I do

I had a dream about Sasha's family last night, it was hysterical. They were selling us a house, it was not the house they have now, it was a weird house, leaning really bad to the side, and Sasha kept telling me it was straight up and down. It was so funny, I thought I was seeing things. then I went inside and everything was upside down. My husband says "no its not" Sasha says "no its not" so I am sure that I am losing my mind. Then I went outside, and it was my yard, my chickens were out there. Sasha says "no their not" then I went back inside, and it was my house. Sasha says "no its not" haha this went on for what seemed like hours in my dream. Everything just kept changing. When I woke up I was pretty happy it as over, so that I know I am not crazy. At least for the most part.....

That is awesome that you have them go all over....I just learned about all the paperwork required to send one of my goats to PA. . Can't imagine how much they would need to go overseas.

Picture overload..it's time, I haven't done it in a while! LOL...I have ask, girl on this "blue" wheaten of Lisa's, right? Very pretty bird!! And those that have the white leghorn EE mix, here is a picture of her in the mix to compare..I am pretty sure that is a pullet.

She's a "blue" right?

Pretty coloring!

Just worried about the nasal area..wide, and turning pink. Not sure of the age? Puffy cheeks!

Another close up of her comb area. My black Chloe back there wanted to get into the photo shoot.
She should be getting close to laying. Can't wait to see that egg.

What a sweet face. :) Nice slate legs.

Not seeing much of any wattles.

Good shot of the back neck feathers and tail.

Another angle.

Here's a picture of my white EE mix, that is supposed to lay really blue eggs. My white Silkie, and
another EE..a dark blue splash. Came from a pretty dark green egg, but not olive.

And check out my Splash Silkie girl, getting big, and I think she is a dolly. :) That's the white EE mix
up front, and that blue splash behind her, and, a little Welie I'm watching/hoping will be a girl! I have
different ages in there..I hope this will help with the broody moms. They will be so used to new ones
coming in, hopefully they won't pay attention if I have two broody moms and babies in there at once. I can hope.

Oh Cynthia your birds are sooo pretty :love

The one you have from me....was born May 26...looks blue wheaten, and going by the feather pattern still looks like a female. The comb is a little redder you are right, but they are supposed to be feather sexed by this age and it looks just like the girls, so cross fingers the info I got is correct on the feathers and the comb is just a fluke! The boys have had a very distinctly different more blotchy look just like she said they would. Sure has a pretty face, I like their eyes, more of a green, pretty little ivory heads too.

Your silkies are gorgeous!

Park City is awfully nice. I do like it there.

Cynthia, those are beautiful Polish. I was told that my polish are large fowl, so I'm guessing that they come in both sizes? Your girls are so gorgeous. I love the toasted marshmallow colors.

Lisa, I'm cracking up over the crazy house dream.

Red, I'm sorry you lost a turkey.

Sasha, your SLW is so pretty! I also love Frizz. Is Elvis a girl? He/she does look a lot like my polish. How old? Clay is so cute.

We got our bird netting in the mail yesterday, but haven't had time to actually get it put up. I'm getting anxious. Speaking of polish, I'm pleased with how nicely and quickly they're filling in. My neighbor has this tendency to pick up kind of ragged chickens, and it seems to take months and months for them to smooth over and fill in on feathers, so I expected these guys to look awful for a long time, but they're really doing well. I'm also happy because everyone is being nice to them.

For fun, I thought I'd post pictures of my two legbars.

Here's Indy (short for Indiana). She's getting so big and pretty. I have no idea when to expect eggs from her because I don't remember exactly when she was hatched (Corvidae?), but I think she was hatched in March. Also, I've heard anywhere from 6-12 months, which is a pretty wide range. Her comb is bigger and redder, but she doesn't look anywhere near ready.

And then this is Jones. I think he was hatched in early April, but again, I'm not sure. He's the same size as my chicks that hatched 4/10, but I remember him being a little smaller than them when I brought him home.

Ok wait, i am confused.......the first one is your girl from Corvidae----the second is the boy from corvidae?, but he is white?? They are both legbars? That one looks like a legHORN lol

Love the first ones little helmet. Very cute! Looks like she is wearing a haripiece :)
