And yes, if there's a chicken repo service, I shall be hiding mine! *runs off to cuddle chickens*

Who laid that tiny one? A bantam I hope. I've seen a few funny eggs like that in my time. Soft shells. My Ameraucana started eating oyster shell..I'm repeating this because you probably didn't read the post, but anyway, I said to her, why are you eating that silly girl? You aren't even laying yet. And guess what she did the next day? Now, my RIR is eating it, and she hasn't laid yet. Getting red and is old enough for sure though. Any time. Eggs! I love the eggs, with hard shells!

That is the cutest egg ever. It looks like a quail egg. Speaking of quail, I have created a monster. He took me to a breeder to Just look at some quail. We came home with 12 day old gambles. He said they do not crow at all just make a small hooting noise. Ed has the idea that he is going to raise these get them imprented on us and our yard and let them run around. We get home with his 12 quail and 5 eggs yes the dear man managed to aquire 5 quail eggs. We went to the brooder I have my chicks in and opened the lid. Promptly said the chicks are too big to go with the quail. You need to move them, REmember I have them in isolation. I said cut a board and split the brooder. Oh no can't do that. Quail need the whole brooder to grow big and strong. We finally put the chicks in his new quail coop in a cornor of the yard away from the other pen, I spent quite a bit of time talking to the guy about hatching. He gave me some tips. He said when the babies are hatched put them on hay right away. The rough uneven prevents straddle leg, Since he has been doing that no leg problems of any kind. Also the quail and chicks eat the leaves and its very good for them. I am pretty worn out today sitting on oxygen on couch If I get feeling better I'll take pics

I don't know who is laying the wierd eggs... They are all from my layer pen so all hens 1 year old + and are all large fowl... I have gotten a couple of long cigar shaped ones also... easily at least 3 times as long as they are thick...

I am headed to Logan tomorrow.  Does anybody need me to bring back anything on the great chicken railroad

She posted today she has a Blue Orpington POL pullet for sale, had previously been sold but it fell through. If anybody wants that one... I am leaving to go over there in about 15 min. If somebody wants it let me know, Red, Daloorashens and a few others on here have my cell :)

On the return of pullets..she has too many, and a hubby that doesn't like it. She has gotten chicks from, her dad, and those cochins from someone off of ksl. They just keep coming. She has sold some for me, but then some didn't sell. She has a dark blue, and a light blue, but wants to keep the dark one. I told her I would take the lighter one back. She has the most gorgeous Cochn..LF..that I've ever seen! One of my babies mostly grown up. Just beautiful. Not sure of the sex, but as big as it is, it is looking like a girl to me, and she is thinking it's going. It's pretty big! This blue Ameraucana, which is pure A. is looking to around 4 months old..pretty big. I would have to look it up. Getting up there in age though, so a couple of months, some nice blue eggs.
And, I will be posting a picture of a beautiful Partridge Silkie that she bought from me, that turned out to be a cockeral. He is so pretty! Wish I wish, I could have roosters. I love the Partridge.

Well, guess I will be hatching more showgirls..at least I hope they will hatch. I thought it wouldn't hurt to talk with the people I bought from. They were very nice, and I have two different ones that will send more eggs just for the cost of shipping. We are waiting for the weather to be cooler, so this fall sometime.
I have three pips in my blue eggs right now. :) They should be blues, blacks, or chipmunks. I want a chipmunk. I want, I want.
I have 8 polish now. Had a quitter. Hope I don't have any more quit! They look strong in there now.

Say what??
